I hate the blocker sad.gif its so annoying !! and how long can it last yea ?
ahha yes ! at night, middle of the night, suddenly it was so painful.
is yours the 4.5k or 6k one ya ?

No worry, keep think it on possitively.. Soon it will over when your teeth moved. Some of us already passed through the period. Pain always is good for braces, as the teeth start moving.. Cheers..

I don't know why mine is not painful. Give me the feeling that it is not effective.  sad.gif

Mine is the 6k one.

Den, for Damon system that I used, it have no feel for first 2 days. On 3rd day, I only feel the pain in gradually for near to week. This is normal, as the 1st wire is still very thin.. soon, it will change to thicker and thicker, whenever it change or re-position, you will feel the pain for few day.

Will the wire gets thicker itself? blink.gif
I really wonder how does the self-ligating wire work. biggrin.gif

Anyone with underbite problem.
I am one of them. Hopefully all will go well and surgery not needed. sad.gif sad.gif sad.gif

Same here..everynight eating porridge...been a week for me already and i started to feel bored.

One thing to share, I think when one grows older, the teeth movement are slower...which means longer treatment...perhaps orthodontic are really for young ones...Can't think the fact I am into 'uncle' era now.

Before my appointment with Dr. How a week ago. There was a boy whom also put on braces, and I overheard that he mention can remove the blocker when want to eat and after finish eating can put it back again. (The doctor told him this then he explain to his mother).
Is't true?

d_chew, haha it has been 2 days and I think I'm already lacking energy, not enough of food !!
mhmm yes, i think younger people's teeth tend to move easier. but no worries, time passes by so fast !!

hjh87, hmm my blocker is like stucked onto my bottom teeth sad.gif It's like a kind of clay/mixture that's temporary.
But a few pieces here and there already cracked =/

den, I drink lots of liquid like milk and milo ! haha its the easiest to swallow.
Hmm I think its easy to speak properly if you don't mind the braces rubbing on your gums.
I speak well if I use the wax on my braces =x

It simply blocks the upper and lower teeth from touching one another. Cause one of my teeth is out of alignment, so if he doesnt put that blocker, the metal part of the my upper braces will be like destroyed by my lower teeth.
You should be happy you don't need it ! sad.gif

Some ppl have the blocker on for longer time. I believe it depends on the situation. I experienced the same thing when i had it on. But however, i grind teeth in my sleep. So the blocker chipped bit by bit. I still had it on (1 yr edy), but its very very small piece left only, So it didnt affect me when i eat.

I still swallow my food, for eg: noodles. Even sausage. I bite and chew just a bit to make it smaller piece, then swallow in... I think its a habit edy.

Woah I think you made me snap into reality. I thought he wasn't serious about 6 weeks.
I can't imagine eating this way for a month plus ! But then again, I may just get use to it.
Problem is I don't cook at home and .. its troublesome when I can't simply eat outside.
Hectic life !

Owh haha I know what you mean when you feel like crying. It's terrible ! You feel like some sick patient that couldn't eat majority of the food. Hmm thanks for telling me, at least I can prepare myself to go through what I have to, in future ! ahah oh ya, is it a must to be using the Pearldrop gel toothpaste and Oral-B rinse everyday? The toothpaste is quite costly =/
