I jumped ship to S21 ultra sd888 because of 1+9pro:
1) weak battery life
2) camera

Shouldn't you be comparing the Oneplus 9 Pro vs S21 Ultra? The S21 Ultra would only win on the the camera department, other than that the Oneplus 9 Pro would fare better.

To answer your question, there would be no issues updating your S21 Ultra SD888 version OTA.

updating is OTA--wont have any probs la--whether exynos or SD---i mean the updating, not about the other differences

IINM the S21 Pro is almost Rm1k more expensive than the OP9 Pro. Another point to consider.

I post the instructions tat i google, thanks to them, hope it can enlighten u.

**Make sure VoLTE service has been activated on Carrier side**

1. Enable VoLTE and VoWiFi options
Option 1:
i. Open Dialer
ii. Type USSD code *#*#4636#*#*
iii. Select phone information
iv. Activate VoLTE Provisioned, Wifi Calling Provisioned

Option 2:
i. Open Dialer
ii. Type USSD code *#800#
iii. Select Oneplus Logkit
iv. Select Function Switch
v. Activate VoLTE switch, VoWifi switch

2. Reboot the device and turn on VoLTE and VoWiFi in the settings
(“Settings” –– “WiFi and Internet” –– “SIM and network” ––  “SIM 1” –– “VoLTE” & Wi-Fi Calling”)

3. Install Qualcomm QPST Diag port x64 / QPST 2.7.474 software on your computer.

4. Connect phone to the computer via “USB cable”.

5. Type USSD code *#801#.

6. Turn on there "Full-port switch".

7. Start the program “PDC” from the QPST software package and select your smartphone from the list of connected devices.

8. Right-click on the “Oversea-Commercial_DS” and deactivate “Sub0” and “Sub1”.

9. Next, select a “Profile” that will be good for your country and Carrier. Right-click on it and select "SetSelectedConfig" for both "Sub0" and "Sub1".

If you could not find your country or operator, then try to use “India_Volte_Vodafone” or “Telefonica_UK_Commercial” as these are most common modes.

10. Click on the selected profile line and then click on the “Activate” button located at the bottom of the program window.

11. Now go back to the phone MENU (Step 6). Turn off "Full-port switch" and reboot your smartphone. The VoLTE or VoWiFi logo should be displayed in the status bar.

12. If u have an issue with VoLTE (may go back to default setting after reboot), then repeat and do next after Step 8: Click on “Oversea-Commercial_DS” again and then click on the “Remove” button located at the bottom of the program window.

Use Oneplus 3 finger screenshot. One of my favourite feature of OOS.

Ok... Seems OOS 11.0 is working fine and running smooth on my phone. Didn't face any issues so far. No lag or stutters for now. The new interface makes the phone feels like my OP8 now.

But you would have to enable it manually. Previous methods to enable VoLTE dont work on OOS 11. You would have to use ADB Shell to enable it first before PDC could detect your phone. (Same procedures for all OOS11 update OP phones). I have enabled mine and if anybody needs the steps I will update here.

Feel the same. Just am not sure if this is our telcos’ fault or oneplus.

Follow the steps below.
Tools to be needed:

ADB
Oneplus Drivers
Qualcom Drivers
QSPT Software

1st - Connect your phone and run adb on administrator mode and type this command:

adb devices - make sure that your device is working on adb

adb reboot ftm - this will reboot your phone into diagnostic mode and you can see Chinese characters there

adb shell

then type this command

setprop sys.usb.config diag,serial_cdev,rmnet,adb then enter

after that, don't close the command prompt

2nd - open device manager and make sure on the com port tab, you can see the Qualcomm HS something like that.

if you can see that the driver is installed, next is

3rd - open PDC as administrator

4th -Select your device on the drop-down menu then if you see your device select it and right-click on "Oversea-Commercial_DS" and deactivate Sub0 and Sub1
Click on Oversea-Commercial_DS again and click on remove -- DO NOT CLICK REMOVE, JUST DE-ACTIVATE IT - your settings stick after a reboot, so no longer need to remove the profile (at least on my device my profiles stick, also makes it easier to go back to default)

5th - Close the app and reopen it

6th - Select India-VoLTE-Vodafone or Telefonica_UK_Commercial, right-click and SetSelectedConfig for both Sub0 and Sub1

7th - Click on the profile you selected (India) again and click on Activate
Yes, select UK/India even if you are located in another region (see above for confirmed locations + carriers)

8th -Close the PDC and go back to cmd/adb then type
adb reboot

Well Done bro ... Do remember that when you are prompted for updates, make sure you only select incremental update. If you do a complete FW install, you will have to redo all the settings for VolTE again.

If for Digi, you can enable/disable yourself on the Digi app.
