Hi guys, is there any way to "uninstall" a pre-installed system update?? Currently at OS 5.1.11 but idk what happened suddenly it says "system update (OS 9.0.2) is installed, please reboot". So the last thing I want is to reboot, since I WILL lose my root, and afraid that my TWRP version not compatible for Android P. Will do more intense Googling later but as of now, anyone has any ideas? THANKS!
So far the only way I know is to reboot to recovery and then do a system restore... but 1) that's not uninstalling a pre-installed update lol confusing I know and 2) never tried rooting on Android P so kinda in the dark as of now and not sure if my TWRP is still there or not after reboot. I know I need to re-install an updated version of TWRP via fastboot for the perfect result but.... not where I want to venture to atm. I did a system backup before this, so it's safe for me to do a clean install of new OS and again, not where I want to venture to atm. Basically, I just don't want my phone to be updated after any reboot. How to delete the "installed system update" and maintain my OS version even after reboot?? Phone is rooted, have Xposed, TWRP and Magisk installed. THANKS! This post has been edited by kahtsin: Nov 28 2018, 03:30 AM |

QUOTE(Seng89 @ Nov 28 2018, 09:51 AM) Just disabled auto download over WiFi. Or if you want to maintain your root etc after update, just need to download full rom and flash in twrp > flash custom recovery > reboot recovery> flash magisk > reboot system. Already disabled that since day 1 but somehow it was automatically downloaded. And yeah I know that Pie doesn't have Xposed yet.Currently Pie doesn't support xposed afaik, so if you wanna do the above update to Pie. Pls uninstalled xposed 1st. So right now the best thing I can do is just to re-flash the full rom on recovery OR restore data settings right? |

QUOTE(icecreamcake @ Jan 27 2022, 06:24 PM) anyone encountered QUALCOMM CrashDump Mode ? Happened to me on Monday. Phone suddenly started crashing and unable to reboot. Have contacted OnePlus for remote help, will update if anything.been trying to boot into fastboot mode in order to select the OS, but once restart it goes back to CrashDump Mode If your device is rooted etc, you can try load into fastboot and check if bootlocker is unlocked or not. IF it is unlocked, you're safe... for now. |
