Wouldn't have pulled the trigger fast and waited for OP7 if my OP3 screen didn't pop up last few days and constantly went to pocket mode. Last night found out from Oneplus forum that its a known issue on OP3 getting overheat after Oreo upgrade causing the glue keeping the screen intact expands.

Now using my OP3 with thin double sided tape fix to hold the screen on its place, and DIY changed the battery last night, while waiting for OP6T.

Tads what i initially tot too til batt transplant happen...surprisingly original batt wasn't swollen in any way.. it was pure heat generated loosen up the glue below the screen overtime.

IMHO... As pop-up comes with mechanical movement, meaning one more item that can spoil overtime... maybe a deal breaker for those intend to use the phone for many years.

Replying this on OP6T though.. hehe..

Btw, Oneplus Switch migration app very good... Migrated OP3 to OP6T quite smoothly (except need to recreate folder, wallpaper, reinstall and restore whatsapp and sign on back accounts) over the weekend.

The case that comes along with OP6T (inside the box) quite nice and sturdy.. sides are raised abit so no worries putting the phone facing down on flat surface.

The ori sp still on the phone.. likely to use it until it peels.. huhu
