no more 64gb lel
*
Not surprising. Nowadays 64GB is kinda considered the minimum "low-end" spectrum in storage capacity on any mobile devices. For a higher more premium branded phone, OP would of course just choose a 128GB as the minimum benchmark rather than producing anymore variants with a lower storage capacity.

Anyway, Michael Fisher a.k.a. MrMobile first impression is in.

Maybe headphone jack is related with IP rating.
Who knows right

According to OnePlus and reviewers, they ditched the headphone jack because it was taking up space without making the phone any bulkier and heavier that it already has. I can see why, the headphone jack is largely archaic by today's standards and no one bothered to trim it down apart from the 2.5mm sized jack that virtually no manufacturers bothered with. In fact, the last device I ever used that featured a 2.5mm jack was the Motorola E398, afterwards I have never seen any mobile devices ever used the 2.5mm standard.

The market want slimmer and sleeker devices but with more and improved features as the years go by and the only way without looking like a huge brick is removing those "dead weight" components that either have another more modern substitute or no one really bothered with. Same thing like how removable batteries and even FM radio functionality are hard to find in even flagship phones these day.

been waiting for 6t, but thaf fingerprint reader is a really big NO for me

I would agree on this, in-display fingerprint scanner a.k.a. optical fingerprint scanner are more of a gimmicky feature currently. The technology just isn't mature and on par with physical fingerprint scanner yet.

I would much rather wait to see what Qualcomm and Samsung have been cooking up once they finalized their ultrasonic fingerprint scanner technology that they have worked on for so long. They claim it's going to be more secure and perform faster than any current fingerprint scanners.

yeah. since it uses screen lights to scan your fingerprint it would be quite annoying to use at night, face unlock not working mostly, and the screen needs to increase brightness to scan your fingerprint.

It's also a lot less secure than physical fingerprint scanners and even IR face scanners not to mention slower. You must almost have pinpoint precision when touching the on-screen fingerprint area in order for the optical sensor to scan your print.

Isn't 6GB of RAM sufficient? Why need so much at 8GB?
*
Megatasking by keeping loads of apps open and running or for those into custom ROMs who can tailor it to run more memory intensive processes without slowing down the phone while running other tasks.

For the average user, something like 4GB to 6GB would be more than sufficient. Developers like PUBGM said that their app will be scaled according to how much RAM your device have, so having more RAM is kinda of futureproofing I guess though technology in the mobile space just move too damn fast with usually significant leaps in processing power in terms of CPU and GPU performance.

Hey, do u have the problem of tempered glass not covering the whole screen? I mean the width is not wide enough and can see left n right edges not being covered.
*
Because all modern smartphone displays are using a slight curvature glass a.k.a. what consumer and the industry like to call "2.5D" display. To create a screen protector like tempered glass to fit perfectly into the minor curve around the display edges require precision machinery and people who are knowledgeable enough to operate such manufacturing process both of which are very costly especially when most tempered glass manufacturer have mostly low margins for every single piece of glass sold while mostly relying on purchases in large volumes.

True 2.5D or edge-to-edge "3D" tempered glass protector are very expansive and rare, usually manufacturer will only offer them to premium high-end flagship models.
