Having said that, Oneplus is getting slower and slower in their updates. Right now, they only care about updating the latest devices ie the OP6 right now. One the 6T comes out, the 6 will be sideline on updates likes it's precedessors the 3, 3T, 5, and 5T.

wow, priced too close with note 9, i can't really think of why people would choose 6t apart from design
*
With the exception of Oxygen Os, the Note 9 wins hands down almost in all aspects.

Dem.. Official set is expensive after changing vendor. Guess have to stick with import set agn. All my OP are import set. laugh.gif
*
Ah...just get the imported sets as long as the network bands are the same. But then again, there are the usual mati mati must get my set people. rolleyes.gif

Yeah, should be a lesson in how "slap-bang-upgrade" isn't gonna cut it for a yearly iteration anymore nowadays lol. People just ain't as keen to blindly upgrade yearly at those kinds of MRSPs.

Except you know, iNimals. Not that the XS isn't a fine price of hardware if you put aside the pricing TBH.
*
'Inimals' ...thats something new. hmm.gif

I challenge you to post this on the Iphone threads. cool2.gif tongue.gif

will OP6T's gameboost and new gesture implement in OP6 too?
*
Most like the new gesture will come trickling down to the OP6 and other Oneplus iterations later. Not sure about Gameboost though.

QUOTE(syukaro @ Oct 30 2018, 09:45 AM)
hrm, increased price, removed led notification, headphone jack, and in display fpr which means front fpr..
*
I dont know why they removed the led notification and headphone jacks which are really useful features. FP unlock is not really a deal breaker as it is often perceived as slow and innacurate on the OPPO R7. Not sure if Oneplus managed to remedy that or not.

i really cannot brain removing led notification.. like why would u remove a perfectly fine feature like that. these are one of those thing that i am so used to it i cant imagine not having.
really? i bought my 6 for 2038 and that time i saw a few online sellers selling about 1950. so fast all gone?
*
Right. I dont even have to wake up the phone to know if I have a message or missed a call. If you want the 6T, you would have to wait for the AP sets to bring down the price. My sets are really priced through the roof through the official distributors here.

QUOTE(Azureknight94 @ Oct 30 2018, 12:22 PM)
Exactly, kind of disappointed they removed the headphone jack. Apparently the ceo based this decision on a poll they made of oneplus users where more than 50% owned bt headphones.
The FP kinda slow imo, just based on observation from all of the YouTube vids.
In the end even with in display fp sensor, they still ended up with a notch sweat.gif which kinda defeats the purpose.
*
Like I mentioned, this is to make you buy their Bullets headphones. They are moving in the same direction like Apple. Business is business.
Regarding FP, who needs it when you have super fast face recognition unlock which I use all the time. If you ask me, screen FP is just another fad which Oneplus will have to undertake to differentiate the OP6 and OP6T. To justify buying the 6T.

I agreed. Oneplus is making the inscreen finger print a big hoo hah.
But if you remove the basics.... then I feel it is at the losing end
*
Right about that. No notification light blinkers, no headphone jack and a thicker phone. And the price is killing it too. Never imagined Oneplus will price it's phones above Rm3k which is a bit too much already.

As a Oneplus 6 user, I would've happily taken a slightly thicker phone for the bigger battery.

Not a fan of the in-display fingerprint reader though, and the lack of headphone jack kinda suck.

Also for the rather high price, OP should have at least included the USB-C Bullets earphone.  Even Google have started including earphones for the Pixel!
*
Looking at this, there is no real reason to upgrade from the 5T or 6 to the 6T. You actually lose some features and functions compared to staying with your existing phone.

Personally, i also do not like the increase to a 6.4" screen. The 5T is already slightly too big. This bigger screen plus still using a 1080p screen makes it even more pixelated. I will wait for the OP7 and hope for good news.
Furthermore most companies are adopting interesting finihses and colours like huawei but OP is still using dull black and grey.
*
laugh.gif

Wait for the Limited editions and colors to launch right after the first batch. As usual, you will have the Limited Edition, the red and white very soon.

drop?. i dont think so
*
Price of the OP6 wouldn't drop much. By the time OP6T begins sellings, stocks for the OP6 would not be much left as Oneplus has long stopped production of the OP6.

Maybe headphone jack is related with IP rating.
Who knows right

There are many phones including the note 9 which are certified IP68 with headphone jacks.

sadly gcam not performing better than pixel 3..

really surprised at how good is stock cam compared to pixel
*
Camera has never been the main selling point for Oneplus phones. I don't mean that oneplus cameras are poor performing ones, just that it's never at the levels of the Pixel 3, Samsung galaxy series and the IPhones which are the best smartphone cameras to have around.

Don't get me wrong. The camera on the OnePlus is not bad at all. Just that it never really got near to the best of what camera smartphones have to offer.

Yup, have to go through a few charging cycles first. Some claim it to be not accurate so I'm actually not very certain about how accurate it is too. Cause regarding 20% in less than half a year seems a bit too much.
Yup but some claim AccuBattery not accurate so I don't really know. Just send it to SC first la if really degraded then change haha.
I charge overnight and heavy twitch & Netflix streaming. So sometimes by noon left 40-50% I'll charge to full again. I don't play games, main usage is YouTube, Twitch & Netflix.
*
Battery health greatly depends on many factors, one of it would be your charge cycle. Its not being how long you have used your phone, its rather how many charge cycle the phone went through. If its not affecting your usage much, I dont see a need to get the battery replaced.

There is a gel type substance which is called the 'sealer' which is used to seal your phone once every part including the battery is put back in place. After the sealer dries up and settles on the internals of your phone, technicians will perform a pressure test on the phone to check for leakages. Im pretty sure outside repair shops wont be able to perform the same tests.
