how much bro? is it fingerprint magnet?

For my experience, not really a fingerprint magnet so far. Bought it from Shopee at RM35. I think I waited 2 weeks for the package to arrive.

To all those OnePlus 6 users who bought with Mi Han warranty, has anybody been to the service center located in Kelana Jaya recently?
I went there today at 2PM to get my alert slider fixed(one side of the alert slider was pushed inwards) but the door was closed and a passerby told me this company has closed down. I did called them at 03-78863186 before I arrived but it seems the phone line is dead.

Try go to the new center

Thanks for your suggestion. I will ring them up.

Btw my phone is still under warranty, since they provided 2 years warranty.

thanks for your suggestion benny888! you were right, I just sent my phone in for repair for the issues below:
1. Dust trapped in the upper rear camera module (2nd repair this time) told them to clean and "seal" it properly. (Covered under warranty)
2. Bottom portion of the alert slider pushed inwards (cause i dropped it) (Not covered under warranty, will charge less than RM10 for button replacement)

QUOTE(Landmarkyap @ Jul 29 2019, 04:53 PM)
Quick complicated since mihan was closed down without any notice for warranty claim purpose
Will XianFang provide the warranty for older version
*
I called XianFeng earlier today but they couldn't confirm if they can repair as the boss was not in the office.

But anyways look what I found from Mi Han Facebook (cached page):
ANNOUNCEMENT: Mi Han Sdn Bhd will no longer distribute OnePlus devices effective 7 May 2019.

For existing OnePlus models that were distributed by Mi Han, a warranty claim can be done by sending your device to MobileTechnic Sdn Bhd (http://www.mobiletechnic.com)

We appreciate your continuous support towards OnePlus and truly apologize for any inconvenience caused.

I am on Maxis and yeah, I read on the main LYN site that yesterday there was a network issue.
Besides yesterday, I have occasionally been losing GPS reception on other days. But for today, it's OK so far, probably later I shall change the case back to that aluminium+glass case and see if it's the case which is causing the problem.  hmm.gif
Previously, I was a heavy Waze user until I got sick of being led to those kampung roads.
I am just wondering though, does signing up for a beta tester for Google Maps cause something like this problem?
*
I was experiencing the same issue as you did. I'm on Maxis using Waze. Now the GPS for Waze locks instantly.
So i've fixed this issue by clearing app cache for all applications using CCleaner and clear cache in recovery.

does anyone know how to "reinstall" oxygen os 10? I'm currently on stock recovery. Im thinking maybe a factory reset and reinstallation might fix this issue, if its possible.
1. no vibration for whatsapp call (issue persists after resetting WhatsApp notification settings)
2. issue connecting AirPods 2. need to try connecting multiple times to "successfully" connect
3. unable to add debit card in Grab app

I have 2 units of OnePlus 6 but the weird thing here is all the issues listed above only occurs on one unit only. The other unit works perfectly fine.

Any advise will be very much appreciated.

This seems to have worked thanks. It installed back to stock android Oreo, and then I've installed OTA for stock android 9 and 10.

But so far Bluetooth connection with AirPod 2 has been fixed.

However there is still an issue with WhatsApp call alerts (no vibration) for me. I've seen other users reporting on Google play(WhatsApp) on notification alerts for messages and calls.

Sounds like a plan.... icon_idea.gif
Try the easy way first clear cache in recovery and see if it solves your problem. Try uninstalling whatsapp and reinstalling it again. As for bkuetooth, remove all devices under device list.

These steps should solve your issues without the need for a hard reset.
*
I've tried your suggestion but the issues still persist. So i've flashed back to stock android Oreo via MSM tool.
But thanks for your suggestion.

Same here. I think we have to let Whatsapp and Oneplus iron out the bugs later on in the upcoming updates.

Yes.. hopefully the next WhatsApp update will fix this issue.

To perform a clean install, ran MSM tool again installed 10.0.1 but still facing WhatsApp issues.

Issue:
Random call drop on WhatsApp
No vibration on WhatsApp for incoming calls

When going through the oneplus bug report in the forums, it seems these issues are present on other oneplus deivces as well(oneplus 6, 7, 7 Pro).

Seems like the recent Oxygen OS 10.3.1 update and some recent WhatsApp updates have fixed the WhatsApp call alert issue reported above. Finally~

May i know if anyone faced issues with incoming/outgoing call before? I am on Hotlink network with the full network bar icon displayed "at all times". The SMS can be sent and received instantly but most of the time I am unable to make outgoing or receive incoming calls, as it will display "calling..." for about 10 secs and then it will auto hangup. However on rare occasions I am able to make outgoing and incoming calls.

I have tried the following troubleshooting steps in the numerical order below but this issue has still not been fixed:
1. Tried "this sim card" on another phones, which worked fine
2. Tried other "working" sim cards on this OnePlus 6, but the same issue occurs on this phone..
3. Cleared storage and cache for the stock "Phone app"
4. "Reset WiFi, mobile & Bluetooth" settings on Oxygen OS 10.3.5
5. Reset phone via MSM tool to Oxygen OS (Oreo version), however unable to make and receive call on Oreo
6. Upgraded phone back to Oxygen OS 10.3.5 and installed alternative phone app, "Google Dialer 50.0.3" but issue persists

Is there any other troubleshooting steps I could try, or can i consider this as a hardware issue? Any suggestion would be very much appreciated.

Are you using VolTE or VoWifi?
*
No I am not using VoLTE and VoWIFI

Update: Looks ive kinda fixed the issue by calling to *#*#4636#*#*, go to "Phone Information" and change "Set Preferred Network Type" to "Global/TD-SCDMA"

On "Global/TD-SCDMA":
Data Network Type: HSPAP
Voice Network Type: UMTS

I am finally able to receive and make calls, but the mobile data is now H+ at all times..

But regardless of which "Set Preferred Network Type" set on the OnePlus 6, if the Voice Network Type is "LTE", calls doesnt seem to work.

However on my OnePlus One, I have no issue with calls on "Set Preferred Network Type" set to "LTE/TUMTS auto (PRL)" with the following settings preloaded:
Data Network Type: LTE
Voice Network Type: LTE

May I know what you guys have set your "Set Preferred Network Type"? Preferably for Hotlink users

Celcom/Yoodo user. First time I'm using this code, *#*#4636#*#*.

Current network - yoodo
Data network type - LTE
Voice network type - LTE
Set preferred network type - TD-SCDMA/CDMA/UMTS

Under settings / sim and network settings I have this:

Preferred network type - 2G/3G/4G (automatic)

QUOTE(TOMEI-R @ Aug 9 2020, 03:40 PM)
For VolTE and VoWifi, you need to mod some settings on your network modem using Qualcomm's app.

But regardless of that, you should not need to do any settings on "Set preferred network type" as the phone will just revert to 3G/H/ H+/2G when a certain network is not available. Being on H+ is not normal at all and you should be able 4G to for data.
*
Thanks for your input everyone. The issue persisted after changing to a new sim card so therefore I decided to get the phone fixed from Fast Technology Telecommunications as they offer motherboard repairs. After a week in the repair shop, they replaced a pair of network chip and filter for RM220.

Seems to be working perfectly now.

Lost my charger recently, anyone know where can I buy an original replacement or any good alternative that support warp charging? Do they even exist since it's exclusive to OnePlus?

Original Dash charger 30W can be purchased from Fastech Lim at RM40.
