QUOTE(Irresistible @ Sep 6 2018, 08:54 AM) Having an android phone ? Should we OFF the phone occasionally? There is no need to turn off your modern day smart phones and these devices are meant to operate 24/7, 365. Inside flagship smart phones, especially those with removable batteries, come with heat pipes and liquid cooling. To extend life of battery or phone... If my phone feel hot, any apps to cool down the phone ? Does it work? If your phone is running very hot and overheating, it only denotes that there are some rogue apps running in the background, of suffering from wake lock issues. Resolve the wake lock issue and the problem goes away almost immediately. You can't use apps to cool down the temperature of your phone. |

QUOTE(Irresistible @ Sep 6 2018, 09:29 AM) New phone will shut down unnecessary apps running on background automatically. There are apps that can tell you what apps are running in the background and offer option to you to kill apps. Many apps running in background nowadays especially social media apps. If you have many friends in various social media apps, then these will take up the memory and reducing available RAM |

Huawei is too aggressive killing background apps until VLC banned itself from being installed into Huawei phone |

Especially that we are android users, should give us the freedom to choose, which apps to allow and which not to as part of customization freedom. |

QUOTE(Irresistible @ Sep 6 2018, 11:06 PM) That is not true. To pro long your phone lifespan and it's battery is about how you charge and optimize it. If you have a lemon battery, everything else would just run upside down and give you a bad experience. |
