Hi all, I have found an issue with my camera and was wondering if anyone else have encountered the same and found a resolution. In my camera settings, I have disabled Master AI (which detects greenery, blues skies, etc). However, when I am recording a video, I notice that the camera keeps toggling between blue skies and normal modes, which affects my recording.

Is there a way to permanently disable this feature? I am already on 8.1.0 and had the impression an update in Q3 2018 had already resolved this issue.

I tried to check for updates on my phone (Settings > System > About phone > System Update), but there does not seem to be any updates found.

No, I did not try this before. Thanks to your suggestion; I can now see EMUI 9.0 to update my phone. The size is rather large at a snip over 4.0 GB, so will download when I get home later tonight. Thank you for the tip!

Jay Chua CC olygopoly thank you for your suggestions. I have managed to update successfully. However, its the same "issue" that reappears (even after resetting camera settings). In fact, the last time I tried to take a landscape image, I was not prompted with "Blue Skies" notification (which is arguably worse, haha).

This was an occasional problem with my P10; this would happen in several known locations, but also when network was not strong. So far, I have not had similar issues with my P20P.

Say until p20 pro camera so good....  I'm only using it for 4 months with only 5,000+ shoots. now got issue with it  cry.gif

I didn't realize it at first until i zoomed in to view those photos and found the purple spot in the photos. The purple dot is so obvious especially on light color objects. So coincidence, all photos taken after 1/1/2019, got this purple spot issue.  shakehead.gif

I think it is a lens problem. I had the same problem with my P10 before; the resolution was to replace the camera module. If your phone is still under warranty, then you should certainly get them to replace it.

On 9.1.0.311 and I notice that my battery drains faster than before and, not sure if this is in my head, but connectivity on 4G/LTE seems to be slower? Perhaps it is carrier, but results on Speedtest show significantly slower results.

Fully charged before heading to sleep. 7 hours standby time; used to be 92-93% battery remaining when I wake up, but now is 72-73% battery remaining. Checked app usage, but nothing seems abnormal. Even during use, I notice the battery drains quicker.

I found the reason for my battery drain:

Settings > Battery > App Launch

I manage all of mine manually; killing most of the apps, most of the time. Battery has gone back to normal for me.

Feel free to give a try yourself. If you have no issues with your battery, then you don't even need to play around with the app launch settings. I have set most of mine to manual, disabling auto launch and running in background. There is no confusion for me; my battery standby time has improved, for me.

The battery on my P20 Pro just swelled up overnight. I think I need to get the battery replaced. Huawei Support says I can drop it off at any Huawei Center; has anyone experienced this before?
