I found a bug on p20 pro, 100% reproduceable.

FYI I always turn on my WiFi, Data, Bluetooth, Sync and GPS on all my phone , never stingy on the battery life...

recently I notice my Data turn off by itself, it cost me unable to read the WhatsApp while I'm on the road...

I'm wondering may it is due to the Wi-Fi+ settings, thru I disabled it... but the problem still persist.

then one day while I'm was playing game, I noticed I hv very bad latency despite my WiFi strength is on good/excellent signal. I swiped down the notification to change the WiFi to Data internet. before I managed to do it, I to my surprised I saw the WiFi reseted the connection itself.

pretty cool rite? but the problem is... it will reset the Data altogether but Data never comeback up after that.

frustrated with that, I try to reproduce the problem, I noticed whenever I turnoff or turn on manually the WiFi, the Data will off by itself. on another note I never turn on data/battery saver or anything...

does anyone here hv the same problem?
or do u know any setting to stop the WiFi auto reset? or to stop the Data being turn off?

is p20 ur first huawei phone?
cos this is quite common even on other models, guess something to do with firmware and sharing chip.

yes, first HW phone.

previously on Samsung and XiaoMi, both didn't hv this problem.

did it happen to u when u turn on/off WiFi, it also turnoff ur data?

at least tell me why the WiFi hv to reset itself when the latency is high or lost connection.
and after it reset why the Data didn't turn back on.

wifi on, turn off wifi, but immediately on data...data will turn off... quite used to it... so i normally just wait 1-2 secs after turning off one before turning on the other.

and wat do u mean wifi reset?

WiFi reset... the WiFi module restarted. turn off then turn on.

sometime the module didn't turn off, but wifi lost connection...
the Data module will turn off as well.

I only wish for it to stay On all the time.

that one no idea... best guess is firmware issue.

More than the video it’s the audio that concerns me. I like taking vids during concert or when a dj is in town. Wortied the audio gets distorted when the audio is loud. Experienced that with my old sony z3 and i said never again. Lol

there aren't many phones with mics capable.
last one was like the lumia especially 1520 and 1020...then some htc from that era... and the first was the nokia pureview 808 from yrs ago... all capable of handling up to 140db without distorting...
so ya, it obviously hasn't been a priority for manufacturers to put high quality mics into their phones.
