thinking of making the jump from ios... anyone had the experience before? used ios from the first iphone, so not sure if i will regret. will this phone lag after 2 years of use?

The only regret you will get is thinking why not make the switch earlier. So much you've missed in technology.

anyone moved from ios recently? any particular feature or convenience you miss? or things that you are now glad you dont have to face anymore

I have used ios but stopped at 10. Im not a normal troll. I used ios on work phones.
Im glad it is not my phone else it will fly out of the window.

1. Contrary to popular believes, ios is actually slow.
2. Very tedious to use customized ringtone
3. Very tedious to download mp3 straight.
4. Limited icloud storage for free
5. Stupid back button or on screen moving white dot thingy they called innovation.
6. Ios IS the mother of inconveniences. Menu or settings are counter intuitive. Boring. Sharing pic to whatsapp takes far too many steps from say, the default gallery.
7. The app store looks like shit, i dont know what interests me.


But thank huawei and androids, those days are over as i resigned fron that company because they keep using ios devices.

And if you jump to p20 bangwagon. I congratulate you for not taking shitty pics when traveling far, no need to let dslr burden your shoulders and let your lenses got knocked around.


Trust me you dont wanna come this far to take shitty night pics.

using both and i can say, both are good you may check my previous replies in older threads of P20. Iphone has some best features. only constrain is $$$. most apps need $$. FYI, you already paying 3K plus phone and still need $$$ for storage, apps etc which some is free on android.
as for picture, both are good as i am using 7plus which is better at raw shooting. P20 has a flaw in raw shooting which is you are not able to zoom.

I think majority of iOS users once switch to Android won't be able to get used to it and will go back. Especially if they're already using macbook and apple TV as well.

If you're the sort who likes convenience definitely you'll want to go back to iOS. If you're the sort who wants to control/determine things then yeah you won't have regrets.

1) backup.. is it similar to icloud if i change my device, i can restore and it'll appear seamlessly?
2) can this phone take "live" photo or similar?
3) emoji haha this might be minor, not trolling but on older android i saw on my friend's phone it looks really ugly (like melting!). has this changed now?

sorry to tell u, but the emoji is just the theme...
it the same code across ios/android/linux/microsoft.

if u don't like it... luckily android allow u to change it...
and I doubt ios can do the same.

Shoot raw ? Ur storage must 256gb version

there is cloud as well as external type-c storage.
Shooting raw for milky way or moon. Whatever it is P20 is not good with Raw.

jfyi raw photo is basically useless for normal user.
it doesn't beautified the photo at all.

basically raw photo hv a lot of color info, but it doesn't sharpen the photo nor reduce the iso noise.

it is very useful only if u do the advanced photography editing. the post processing able to bring out all the hidden color, this is true if u know the real hdr which is better than phone camera hdr.

haha I set my photo to 7mb, simply bcoz I hate 4:3 format.
and it is good enuf...
