QUOTE(abu.shofwan @ Sep 16 2020, 10:31 AM) Really ah? Thankfully my unit hasn't suffered the issue. This is a middle east unit, bought when I was working there. Gonna be hard to claim warranty now that I have returned home. Many user had this problem from p20 fb group. And get warranty for it

QUOTE(Joshua_0718 @ Oct 14 2020, 03:08 PM) Anyone here using a type-c splitter? Does it support supercharge as well? No for me. I connect to multi function adapter with usb c that supports charging function. It only gave me normal charging.

QUOTE(fkinmeng @ Oct 16 2020, 01:36 PM) same, think it's the end of the road already for this phone. yes. it is officially we don't get the OS updates later for this phone. It was a flagship phone by Huawei only 3 years ago. It makes my heart to swap to OnePlus after this Huawei.

If you get 3, then it's a bonus.

Oneplus 6 might even get android 11.

QUOTE(ayamxxx @ Oct 17 2020, 07:19 AM) This is why i felt letdown by Huawei Actually not really Huawei's fault. Blame is on the US restriction. In terms of stability and support services, Huawei rocks. Batteries etc also cheap. But shame Android no more update, hence have to change phone...

To be fair, only select few OEMs support their flagship android phones for 3 major OS updates. Most are still running on 2 OS updates. Security updates go more than 2 years, though.
The Mi A1 only recently got its final security update, iinm, around 3 years after release. Though admittedly this is an Android One device.
People who are brave enough, can get more than 2 OS updates, through custom ROMs, though.

If only Huawei allow unlocking of their bootloader for their devices and custom ROMs (I know they once did, but that route is closed), quite satisfied with P20 Pro even though it is lacking a super wide angle camera, with 6GB RAM it should still be quite usable for sometime.

I'm starting to notice my camera output not so clear anymore. Often, when using the 3x zoom, I find the result to be lcking detail or focus. And often the colour seem to be like coloured pencil or crayon. Not nice la... Even more so when trying out macro shots.
