Dear All,

i bought a Xbox360 recently, and i have some questions. I have a TV at home, a Dvd
Hifi and my xbox. First of all..my TV supports Component cables, The Xbox 360 i bought comes with a component cable, i've read in the forum that component cables are good right?

secondly, i use my DVD Hifi to watch dvd, but the sound only comes out from my dvd hifi player and does not come out from my tv. Now, i've gotten a xbox360, and i wish to have the sound coming out from my dvd hifi or even both hifi and tv. Can anyone plllease help me out? curently when i play my xbox only the tv stereo got sound, not my hifi.

I've attached the pictures of my devices. pls help.thanks!

As bro microsuck says:

From the Xbox 360, connect the WHITE and RED RCA cables to the AUDIO IN ports of your DVD Hifi. The video inputs should then go to your TV OR an input on your DVD hifi.

From the looks of it, your DVD Hifi will not have that many ports behind it, so you may have to connect the 360 VIDEO component out directly to the TV, and the AUDIO RCA cables to the Hifi Audio in. You may find your 360 cables are a bit short for the job, so you can find RCA extender cables at any electrical store to lengthen your audio cables enough.

One more thing to add. Depending on how many component inputs your TV has, you may have to relegate the DVD player to Svideo and 360 to component input OR get a component video splitter.

Hope this helps.

I'm sorry i dont understand what you mean. Currently, the Component cable from my xbox is connected to my TV, theres 6 connectors in the component cable, but theres only 5 connectors for component on my TV. How should i connect the Hifi to my Xbox 360?

Ah. I see the problem.

The component cables from your xbox will have 5 connectors.
Three are for sending the video signal:
1x RED
1x BLUE
1x GREEN

TWO are for audio signals:
1x RED
1x WHITE

From your xbox 360, you should plug the VIDEO SIGNAL cables into the back of your TV.

From your xbox 360, plug your AUDIO SIGNAL cables into the AUDIO IN port behind your DVD Hifi.

Now that will enable your xbox 360 to output sound from your DVD Hifi.

Does your DVD hifi have component output? If it does, then you may need to use a component splitter (please google for info).

If it doesn't then you can just run the YELLOW video RCA cable or SVIDEO cable from behind your DVD hifi to your TV.
