Do not get excited with the figure they will be offering you right now. If they wanted you, of course they will by means get an impressive figure to 'lure' you over.

But for me, besides these figures, I must be assure that this company have good prospect to grow. If they grow, we have better benefits & prospect too. Like good bonuses & increments. Dun get me wrong, I'm not saying Diners r no good. Just that it's not better than yr current employer in terms of popularity. Well, at least in Malaysia.

Ok. I know their turn over are high. I think 3 different exec taking over my accounts for the same year when i was still with them. In terms of popularity, everyone knows Mastercard & Visa or even AMEX are far way above them.

Eventually I terminated the cards due to

1. Not accepted everywhere.
2. charge card.

Here are 2 real life experience that I've encountered before :

Scene 1

I was with an IT Service Provider company then. A well known dot com company was so impressed with our support stragedy that he wanted to implement an identical one on his. They 'lure' us over with fabulous pay & incentives. Eventually dot com company couldn't survive & we have to pack our bags.

Scene 2

Current company. They 'lure' an IT Manager over from a competitor to overlook an ERP solution. They retrenched him after all was in place when they found out we (current IT staff) can support it. Why need to pay a person with 5 figures salary IF you know you can get a person with 4 figures to do the same job?

If you are unhappy with your current job, I've nothing to say. BUT if you are not, think real hard before you jump .... !!!
