i’ve been thinking of how generous Samsung with the pricing of Note 9. the launching of 2018 iphone really shows how greedy can it be is to rip off customer’s hard earn cash. Note 9 still maintaining price point below 4k, but the other side price continue to hike albeit lesser effort for innovation and change. samsung could have done the same with Note 9 as this is their main flagship, but luckily they did not, which leave us customer with an option of best smartphone in market at affordable price. but that of course if one doesn’t really need the apple ecosystem. for me to be honest i’m a user of complete apple ecosystem (2 macs, ipads, apple tv, airports and iphone, even airpods), but i hold myself from the ripped of iphone x. last iphone i bought was the 7, and i can’t convince myself to buy the current iphones. hence for my apple ecosystem, i may stop at iphone 7 until it dead..

kudos to samsung for now for not ripping off customer.

note 9 price is RM3699, thats around 800usd+ish.. but actually i mean the price hike looking at the xs max.. always look at the main flagship not the secondary

At RM3699 samsung already gain profit, not small profit by any means. Years ago, a phone exceed 3k is already damn expensive. This is now already at the expensive price point.. So if they decide to increase price, means it is just greedy, right?

Same goes to the other side.. Heck in fact I love the apple ecosystems very much.. But not fool enough to be a sheep.. But I was happy when they offered cheaper ipad though. Lol.. Lesson learned, consumer have the power, if the company sees low sale volume, they will reconsider the price, as we can see happened on ipad..

s pen was part of my life too, but now replaced by apple pencil sold my note 8 around July.. i’m note-less since then. but it seems that i’ve moved totally to ipad pro for my productivity or note taking, hence i currently don’t have the urge to buy note 9.. if i can resist until it christmas, then i think maybe i’ll skip note 9 and go for note 10.. but price wise, i have no complaint for note 9..

this is very subjective.. actually all telco listing any phone at their rrp price. you get it lower at telco if you sign contract.. but actually you purchased the phone valued at its rrp. and yes, many ppl buy phone at telco nowadays.. all has been calculated by the telco to maximize their profit as well as to attract customer.. big retailer like senheng, senq, harvey norman and of course samsung authorised retailer selling the phone at rrp. of course we cheapskate will buy in garage sell and lawballing sellers.. haha

similar, look at price for older iphone now, they got lowered after new iphone came out.

3.5mm audio jack won’t be dead easily.. the audio world still very much depending on it for analog audio channel.. i hope wireless audio will develop faster in order to stream better audio quality.. currently wireless audio quality is just so so.. if samsung really want to drop 3.5mm jack, hope they will put bluetooth aptx-hd at least for start.. think ahead, not backward

yeah very unlikely they will bundle bluetooth headset coz that is extra cost.. bluetooth aptx-hd i mean is the bluetooth module used inside the phone..

Same.. Why don't just leave the jack, it doesn't bother who don't want to use it, it is not protruding or get in the way while using the phone, right.. It is super useful for those having dedicated wired headphones, and usually those guys having expensive headphones summore.. Those who don't care maybe also don't care about audio stuffs too.. It is really a backward move no matter how they try to sell the idea
