Hi,
My dad is undergoing hip operation and will need some help at home while recovering. Anyone used services of a part-time or stay in care giver? I am thinking of stay-in for few weeks till almost recovered, to assist with cleaning, changing, etc. I saw some websites in the Net, but not active.
Thanks.

QUOTE(jacky_p @ Sep 3 2018, 05:26 PM) How old is your dad? Usually in my experience, old people tend to choose staying at home rather than in a hospital. But what did he say? Did you ask him first about his opinion? Thanks for asking, but I am only here to look for in home care giver. If anyone has used such services, appreciate if you can provide their contact.

QUOTE(jacky_p @ Sep 4 2018, 02:48 PM) https://www.caregiverasia.com/Try to look at this website. I discovered it not too long ago. Its actually a site for freelancers and experienced doctors and nurses to give service privately. Just search for the kind of service you need and look at the info and details of the person you wish to hire. Can also check the price and schedule of that person Thanks. This is good. I will try. To the others, thanks as well for your suggestions.

I managed to get details from a few and decided to go with one. All seem to range from RM4500 - RM5000 per month. 24 hours (stay in) with one day off per week. I suppose this kind of arrangement is ok for one or two months, especially if no full time maid at home.
Will update the performance on later date.
Thanks everyone for the assistance.
