Is the lane specially for RFID or shared with smartag?  If you took out your smartag, how will you know which system will charge your toll?

During installation  Today, the installer told me if both smartag & RFID together especially on a hybrid lane, they will deduct RFID 1st & skip smartag. If dedicated RFID lane, no need worry.

Well need to test out haha
*
Yes, I've tested numerous times at different toll plazas. The RFID will get detected first.

If you're using SMART Tag model OBU330, your SMART Tag will beep 3 times, indicating the transaction didn't go through.
Not sure about the newer black unit. hmm.gif

Another Morning and long queue at RFID toll..regretting not using smartag lane this Morning.

Tng card users probably attracted to RFID hybrid lane kua?? $#%#@
*
I don't really stick to RFID lane 100%. I use whichever lane that has the shortest queue. Kinda defeats the purpose to queue long long when you have something else in the car that can skip the queue.

Alamak.. they have FB RFID Group ke? I dont use FB.. Is there another centralized channel for reporting?
Yesterday got my first fail RFID scan at DUKE (Gombak exit heading towards Gombak; right most lane RFID+SmartTag Hybrid lane).

Another FYI if you are travelling on Kerinchi Link travelling from Federal Highway towards Sprint; take note that plaza B has a Touch&GO + RFID hybrid lane. It is the second lane from the left; directly next to the top up lane. The signage was damaged and was remove recently.

Can email them at 'careline@touchngo.com.my'.

See above, the RFID failed so he got through free.

OOh, Sorry, missed that. lol.

Purposely avoid paying tolls is a punishable offence though. Better not risk it.

I used the sticker and placed it inside my car windscreen. So far so good no issues. Also installed it on a Honda City eHev.

You can try it first. Put a clear plastic to secure the rfid sticker to the windscreen. Drive through a toll plaza if it works then good. However my car tint is JPJ compliant. If your car tint is darker you may have problem.
*
The darkness of the tint doesnt matter. The material of the tint matters.

A sharing on my recent RFID experience on my new car at fitment center.

Front headlamp fail, Civic FE has a protruding hood and it blocked the RFID on headlamp
Front windscreen was tinted with metallic tint, RFID placement on OUTSIDE windscreen will definitely fail. We even tried to place the RFID on a piece of black sticker, also failed.

the only place to be detected is at the front bumper near the H logo.
I'll just use back Smart tag and see how it goes in the future.

So for those planning to stick on the windscreen, make sure your front tint are not those metallic tint.

Haha good idea, but temporary not fixing now. Using back smart tag.

New car sakit hati to stick on car paint.
Previous car rfid was on headlamp, the sticker already makan into the headlamp after 2-3 years. Now a bit phobia to stick on car body
