Well its a bit cruel to holdback such awesome unit. Do you really need to watch video all the time using this pda? Its that the only critical drawback that holds u from purchasing it?

I'm sure the rest of the performance outclass other models . . .  rclxms.gif
*
sometimes i wonder....why i have never bother about the cam and video features of this phone????and...have never used it too.... rclxub.gif

There is an update for the bluetooth for tytn II:
-----------------------------------------------
12/19/2007
Bluetooth Hot Fix (for HTC TyTN II)

Dropped calls sometimes occur when Bluetooth is on. If you encountered the same problem, please download this Bluetooth Hot Fix and install it on your device.
----------------------------------------------------

Get it from htc.com as u wont find it at asia.htc.com ... I wonder WHY????

and if u happen to use blackberry get the Blackberry Connect Client 4.0 for TyTN II from asia.htc.com but u need to register as a member first....

Thanks

My Tytn II got problem whereby the charger port rosak so I cannot charge using charger or USB. Sent to HTC Glenmarie for repair last two weeks and they replace the whole board (still under warranty). Two days ago I discovered I cannot call out or recieve incoming calls using 3G so I switch band back to GSM. It is not my SIM problem coz I tested with other 3G sims, also same result. Due to this I cannot use my unlimited 3G to surf. Called SIS, and was told to hard reset, if cannot, then send in to repair again. Aiya, no phone again............Maybe it's time to buy the iphone ........
*
Any info what's the cause of the charger port spoilt..maybe we all can avoid it ..or it's just a manufacturing defect???? icon_question.gif

HOLY S**T that's the same problem I have! But my phone just died. One day while driving home, the screen was black, couldn't turn it on. Tried to charge it, no light, took out battery and blew into the connection point (think Super Famicom/Micro Genius - 15 years back hah!) and did everything possible. Sent back to retailer.. and then retailer sent back to dunno where, and they changed my whole mother board.

NOW with new mother board, initially ok, after 2-3 days, 3/4 of the time I can't receive calls, can't send calls, SMS out and it gives me an error. Phone goes quiet for half a day, then suddenly, I get like 5-10 sms'es coming in, all LATE. Ahhhhhhhh

My last phone was a P990i.. = problem ... now Tytn II = problem @.@ .... ahhh... so much down time sad.gif ..  supposed to be a productivity tool.. reducing my productivity only ...

Help me

Why don u go to the authorised service center instead of returning it to the dealer.....

On the other hand...I believe your long history problem of using handphone will go away if u stick to that fixed phone...juat kidiing

Well, there is a evidence shows that they use different parts from different vendor. There was a guy is xda-developers got different USB port on the replacement unit. He shown the picture of both, and it is definately different.

So, I guess the quality differ from different batch of product.

Ok guys, have been playing around with my TyTN II and got a couple of HIGHLY recommended tweaks/hacks/apps here:-

1. Kaisertweak - Forget about registry editors, everything you need is here, at a single click! MUST HAVE!!!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=333898

2. SRS Wow HD - Improves audio output A LOT!!
http://www.freewarepocketpc.net/ppc-downlo...und-driver.html

3. Album and camera improvements - Much better camera interface & capabilities!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=355587

I tried all of these and love them. No problems whatsoever, just take some time to read through the instructions...
*
Wow...is it safe if something wrong happened during the installation???

QUOTE(ZiYi @ Mar 2 2008, 05:47 PM)
The eclub page shows 1.82.707.0, but after flash, my device information shows 1.81.707.0

only radio (1.27.15.32) and protocol (22.51.88.13H) version are different.

Ok, since this is only a minor upgrade you can backup your data with sprite backup and restore it after you flash the new rom.

I had done it, and without any trace of problem.
*
The sprite backup at the phone or at the pc ..as I was thinking that the upgrade will wipe out the sprite back up program at the phone..mind to clarify...Thanks
