yes, use mapking r12 which is pre-bundled (dun 4get to update the patch too)and install the penins mal map.
get the latest version from malsing.com.

if u buy from pda expert, tose bozos will insist u to install mapking 2007 bcos they can only find map for that version.
well, juz tell them to f*** off bcos mapking 2007 totally sucks and ruin ur gps xperience 4ever.

another solution is use the community map from malsing
*
this is not complete solution!
u still need registration code based on region code.
u can only get this from mapking makers urslf.

as of now, only crack available is for mapking 2007.
hence those morons from pda expert always install mapking 2007 to naive customers.
thereby ruining their virgin gps experience for many.

And my HTC logo at the top right starts peeling off, the letter 'c' is now like 'r'.

And then, the driver issue. Urgh, HTC gotta do something about all these.

actually, the unit looks even better without the logo.
and bt the video drivers, its a business tactic for SE Experia to sell.
fyi SE Experia is made by HTC.

Wow, the logo sure do come off easy eh? Luckily mine is still ok, protected in Krusell casing. About the driver issue, well... what more to say? HTC SXXK. Should do something bout it.
*
where u buy the krussel casing? afaik pdaexpert n fresh gear doesn't have the proper tytn2 casing.

de shop assistants conned naive customers into buying (clearing) old tytn1 casing.
worse thg is, de old casing is so tight dat it will put de keyboard under lot of stress which will make it spoil faster.
furthermore, the screen kenot be tilted properly.

beware!

yeah, tose shop assistants (fresh gear-lar, pda "expert"-lar) r mostly uneducated thugs with no ethics watsoever.
dey juz wanna earn most money n invest on alcohol and smoke.

so customers must educated demselves properly.
ask genuine ppl who can really help.

kentang peranchis is always here to assist.

Just bought myself a TyTN II with 2GB card for RM2,900.00 from PDA Concept, 1st floor Tesco Extra Cheras. Wonderful service, friendly guys and the cheapest so far with a bunch of freebies. Look for Vincent, Sam or Edmund.

Still charging it, so will write about it later.
*
yes, it's good deal. congratulates on ur new purchase.

Regarding your concern on geographical region it all depends on the 'radio' provided. If you're using one of Dutty's WM6.1 ROMS, just flash the radio only. Radio version 1.64.08.21 or  1.58.16.27 are suitable for Malaysian region. Both have good battery and gps but 1.64.08.21-GPS within 1 minute.
*
haven't tried 1.64.08.21 yet but 1.58.16.27 is slow and bad signal!
use SEDNA radio 1.58.21.23 instead.

Then try Dutty's WM6.1 Hybrid v2 5.2.19716/5.2.19700 released on the 29th April with the 1.64.08.21 radio.
You will not be dissapointed. Experiment ..............
*
yup, already flashed it and using it now.
so far so good.
