finally someone created this thread...

U see, the new qualcomm board, the MSM7200 has almost everything integrated including GPSOne.
i went through some of the schematics..

found out that this chipset is actually a dual core chipset..
a 384MHz ARM11 proc does application processing and another 274MHz ARM9 proc controlling modem processes and also accelerates application processing....

so its not just a plain vanilla 384mhz proc...
i'm really looking forward to this PDA phone... everything built in...

hopefully dopod will announce a rebranded version around Q4...

Definitely my next pda phone to replace my 838pro. Only regret is it doesn't come with VGA, unlike the one from Toshiba. whistling.gif

It's the battle between Symbian Vs Windows Mobile. Depends which suits you more

Symbian is good, but you have more freeware and things that can be done in WIn Mobile. Hope GPS module works well. E90 is also nice but a bit bigger. In fact looking closely at HTC Wings if Dopod bring it here to our shores, basically the Dopod C500 but with 3G, HSDPA and GPS. Life's getting better......... brows.gif

Guys

Got mine 3 days ago at 3288. Put on a 3rd party screen protector, courtesy of shop. Shop did not carry the Toshiba 2G micro sd so salesman replaced with Kingston, should be good. He also owes me the Jabra bluetooth headset, the 140 I believed (BTW how is it?)
After using for 2 days, am happy with system, good internet conectivity with my lappie as 3G modem, nice screen layout, faster due to more RAM and ROM. Have yet to try GPS.

My Tytn II got problem whereby the charger port rosak so I cannot charge using charger or USB. Sent to HTC Glenmarie for repair last two weeks and they replace the whole board (still under warranty). Two days ago I discovered I cannot call out or recieve incoming calls using 3G so I switch band back to GSM. It is not my SIM problem coz I tested with other 3G sims, also same result. Due to this I cannot use my unlimited 3G to surf. Called SIS, and was told to hard reset, if cannot, then send in to repair again. Aiya, no phone again............Maybe it's time to buy the iphone ........

cannot receive incoming/poutgoing vid calls? u got set the 3G settings for your pda d or not?

Thanks.
It's not the video call, I'm talking about the voice calls, no outgoing or incoming if I set my band to Auto or WCDMA where I get the 3G signal on my top part of my Tytn. If i use GSM it is fine. Going to hard reset it and if it still does not work, well back to Glenmarie again..........Luckily got warranty.

What's the best freeware for copying contacts from Tytn II for use on another phone, iphone for example. Is there a utility freeware available to do this?
