Day 3 Annecy continued
Anyway the most 'famous' view representing Annecy is the Palais de l'Ile which was like an olden times prison or something. Normally there isn't this arty installation on the right to (in my opinion) ruin the photo though. Maybe it's just cos I don't appreciate art.
It was a really hot summer day and google tells us that Glacier des Alpes sells some of the best ice cream in France, so we try. It was quite nice, though I don't know about the best in France bit.
Then we went to the Jardins de l'Europe (Gardens of Europe) which is also right next to the Annecy Lake, to walk around and people-watch. The photos don't really show it perhaps, but there are LOTS of people going out on the lake on paddleboats, motorboats, dinghies, etc, just relaxing and soaking in the sun.
