I had see some people, put alot of "KAPAS" into the woofer box until the woofer box full will kapas... What the purpose for it? Bass more solid?

I saw i dad did that too when he assemble his own Home Teather Speaker. I head from him b4 i guess is to reduce noise inside the box i forgot already..

it's used to slow down the air waves. thus, make the box virtually bigger..

you can try use those cheap aquarium water filter foam.

I stuff this thing inside my altec lansing acs45.1 speaker. sounds better and solid.

i think it will sound softer rather than solid??? and the loudness will also go down a little bit...

of course! the foam absorb the space between the speakers....and gives of better solid sound....

Erm.. Then I wan go Jusco buy some cheap pillow and then cut all the pillow and take the foam out to put inside. But I scare when I put in, then when the air come out. those foam flying out like ais only..

slower air waves -> less box resonance -> less boomy bass -> more accurate bass response -> good SQ!

i think its not KAPAS maa.... mat rempit always using fiber to make their mufler bunyi more PADAT.. same oso to woofer box, add fiber at the back of the speaker... then feel the diff.

I don't think is wise to use FIBER.. I had try put those kapas bought from Watson.. When I blast, I can see those kapas coming out from the small hole. hehe..
