Hi all, I am having problem in restoring my Whatsapp chat history on new phone.

What i did is i clicked "backup" in old phone Whatsapp setting, then when i restore Whatsapp in my new phone and after it runs everything, I realize the chat history is all blank. I also checked my old phone chat history file and it is until 19th of August this year.
Is there anyway i can restore my chat history to my new phone?

Did you backup to Google drive?

yes.. i did backup.
Now done restore already. i had repeated the same step, 5th times and finally success.

After u made the Google backup, did u move the entire Whatsapp folder from old phone to new phone also?

mine is same OS, but i dont think i make any wrong step during backup and restore.
i tried 5 times only restore successful.

Nope, it doesn't require to copy the folder, when you backup Whatsapp, it will backup all the chat history and media to Google drive.
Just mine didnt work properly for the first 4 times i guess. Now done already.

i dont know what's went wrong, the first four times it only recover all the group and person, but all the conversation is blank.
Until 5th times, all the chat history is successfully restored.
The restoration step is all same, just that 5th time it succeed

Headache.. but finally successfully done.. lol..

anybody know how to back up without google drive?

i guess is no. just checked my phone, Google Drive is the only option.
