hehe.. been there done that.. it all depends on the manager style..
we r all human being after all.. so manager will give n take..
we r only allow to use/sms/call at the back office where its not visible to customers..

there are managers who r strict, will keep all the barista hp n lock it in drawer during workin hours... not my store fortunately..

As for the tumbler its more of goin green n not throwing paper cups for take away.. that's why u get RM 2 off for using starbucks tumbler..

use jusco card or hsbc/cimb cc for 10% discount on the tumbler..

its none other than Mocha Frap, caramel macchiato for hot coffee..
u r already spending 13++ bucks..
with 15++ u'll got java chips which taste better with choc chips..

my favourite would be dark mocha frap as its not so sweet since its dark choc wit coffee blended.. mango passion frap when i need some refreshing drink.. greentea frap is awesome too.. cant wait for my shift man..

hey kjisdaman, what's the shift timing if i wanna apply for part time barista job? saw the banner in kl sentral and i'm eager to apply but i can only work in weekends.
*
u can work for 6 hours shift.. morning, afternoon, nite shift.. we call it opening, middle n closing respectively..
been workin since uni, now havin 9-5 job just work on sat..
just go apply for the experience as hourly pay is 4.75/hour.. get free drinks though..

There is nothing much else to consume there  laugh.gif

Waahh...can also make own blend ah? drool.gif
Like that can work part-time or not? How much are they paying part-timers?
*
sbux patries/cakes is a ripe off.. not worth it..
i only go for the drinks..
just go to sbux apply la..its de-centralize management style.. meaning which sbux u apply u'll work there..
u studyin or workin la..
coz the pay is nothing to shout about.. 4.75/hour..
get free drinks n 30% discount in any sbux malaysia.. thumbup.gif
the ppl n experience is fun depends on busy or slow store..

if u like black coffee then great as the knowledge i gain is d reason why im still workin there..

You think they hire retirees as part-timers?

Yup, the patries/cakes is a rip off! But I guess it is easier selling just coffee and the patries/cakes are just to create an impression of Starbucks having varieties. whistling.gif

u can try.. depends on the manager.. just go for it la.. starbucks emphasize on diversity..
but its nice when u pair it with different types of coffee..
we have coffee tasting session on various blend n pair it with pastries.. so no need add sugar or milk..
just like go to coffee shop order coffee n butter kaya toast but more expensive if u could afford it..
