Anyone here tried to request for their SST charges to be waived via cashback for their Maybank 2 Gold card? For my public bank card they gave me cashback in the following month to offset the SST charges.

i actually called to maybank service center to cancel my visa due to SST charges. but just now i check seems service tax reversal.

They allow us to cancel one of the card? What will happen to the credit limit? As it is for the combination for the two cards

Not for existing cardholders - the SST is charged on 15th or 16th of the expiry month.
Your SST on 1/4 so you are new.

Mine is charged on 1st May, been using the card since 2015

Hi guys, can we cancel the accompanying mc/visa card and keep the amex (gold)? I was told by the bank officer at the branch that I am not able to cancel any one of the card. I am thinking of canceling my visa and applying for the barcelona visa signature and keeping the amex

It says to apply before my statement date but my card is still showing last month's statement date which is 26 October 2020..should i convert it before 26 November 2020 which i assume will be my statement date this month or i can convert it next month just before the due date?

1) your upcoming statement is 26 Nov 2020 (closing day).
2) you want to purchasing something "this month"

so, what the ezypayplus 0% require is your purchase MUST be posted/appear in M2U and converted to ezypaypus on/before 26 Nov, because that purchase have not been "billed" into your 26 Nov statement, yet.

alternatively, if no rush, you can delay the purchase after 26 Nov, this will give you ample of time to convert to ezypayplus on/before 26 Dec.

Thanks for the explanation bro. I have actually purchased the item on the 12 November 2020 so it has been posted to my M2U already. Usually my dude date falls in middle of the month for this month its 15 November 2020. So if i convert it before the 26 November 2020, my payment due date for the first installment will be the middle of next month which is 15 December 2020?

yes

statement date = 26 Nov
purchase date = 12 Nov
assume convert to ezypayplus = 20 Nov

1st installment will get billed into your upcoming 26 Nov statement

hence, your payment due date = statement date + 20 days = 16 Dec (or can follow 15 Dec for safety in payment)

Thank you for the clear explanation bro. The reason why I'm asking is I have paid the pre order for the ps5 in full on 12 November 2020 but it is not 100% certain that I'm going to get it on the launch date which is on the 11 December 2020. Might be delayed for another month or so or longer which I might consider to ask for refund hence I would like to delay the conversion.

PSA

Just noticed my Maybank2Amex was charged with fraud transaction via HERTZ US around 6XXUSD/RM2XXX.

Best part is don't even have any notifications prompt or even those small USD1 transaction to test out the card straight go through with large amount charging.

Called to Maybank hotline and suspended card straight. They will arrange 5 working days to issue out a new card with new number however there goes my this weekend to utilise my remaining cash rebate and so happened this weekend is the last weekend of the month.

My Amex kena today, the secure2u authorisation pops up a few times which I rejected, payment to KAPWING and OPENAI amount 20USD each time. Luckily all didn't go through as I rejected all. Call and cancelled it straight after, same as you I am not able to utilise the remaining cash rebate this coming weekend.
