they allow u to cancel either one, & the RM25 can be paid by using 10,000 TP.

met a guy at 1U card centre who managed to get his RM25 waived after he appealed to MBB CC's management team - his strong point is that he often travels overseas & uses the card regularly.

yes, met a guy at 1Utama MBB card centre & he said he got his SST waived by appealing that he travels a lot to overseas & uses his MBB cards.

u can try too but must have a history of regular overseas usage.

SCB can waive by calling them.

and CIMB, after the threat of cancellation, they said spend rm200 per card within the next 30 days, you get rm25 to waive the govt charge and, on top of it, they also give another cash rebate of rm20!

it's definitely NOT an official MBB statement!

& the guy did mention that it's up to management's discretion.

however, seeing that other banks are willing to waive, I don't see why MBB can't do the same.

anyway, MBB staff said that the 10,000 TP is worth RM20 and we get a "discount" of RM5! LOL

you can cancel a card from the 2 cards.

the 1st thing that the 1U MBB centre customer service officer said when asked if I can waive the SST is that I can cancel one card and use 10,000 TP to offset the RM25 SST/card.

however, she said if want waiver have to call the CC centre.

go to any card centre to get it done.

got this bag on 4/11 at JG Da:Men when reloading tng cards (RM200 x 2 cards) using Amex - cashier said any purchase above RM300 (if I remember correctly) will get a bag.

looks like they've moved on to the other branches.

yes, this was the one, & it was RM250 (there goes my memory!).

over the years, i redeemed battery-powered shaver, multi-cooker, air fryer, McD & Aeon Big vouchers; the last 2 being offered at lower TP's at MBB card centre, 1U & Mid-Valley.
