I managed to track my cashback and I can still count that UMobile is still included. Unless anyone here can confirm with me which of my usage is NOT included.

1) Shell
2) Netflix
3) Watsons
4) UMobile
5) McD (is this store depended or nationwide)
6) Family Mart (same as McD?)
7) Using FavePay to pay (directly debit from card to payment. No reloading)
8) Uniqlo

Well, all I did was proceed to purchase by entering my AmEx card details and it went thru. Luck? I'm not sure.

Hello everyone. I’m the OP that posted FoodPanda accepts AmEx and caused a little “confusion/commotion” here. I guess I wasn’t that clear on my tries.

After reading what you guys have experienced, I realised I am not the only one. I thought that I was the only one have to deal with multiple tries/transactions to use AmEx in FoodPanda. True enough, I had to deal 4 times before the 5th time, payment went thru. These were my exact steps.

Create order -> enter AmEx card details (ticked save card details but it did not save) -> click purchase -> failed.
Repeated next 3 times of “click purchase -> failed”.

Finally, I just try to retype my cc details and again ticked save card details but it did not save -> purchase -> success!

I hope this clears out some confusion. As “evidence”, here’s my failed orders and finally went through.

Do @ me if you have any questions!

meaning u tried 5 times only it went through?
*
Yes you are right. Well, the 5th was me retyping my whole CC details in again and then it magically went through.

I haev tried many many many times does not work lol

Surprisingly, when I check my statement, it charged under my other card (visa) and not my AmEx. 🤯

But I paid with AmEx.

how can maybank simply charge another card? that's security breach.
*
Hmmm I called maybank and they said that it is charged to my Visa instead of Amex. Now Im wondering if I misclicked or something. Heading over to ask FoodPanda right now.

Not quite true. Based on my own experience, besides Maybank own credit card processing terminal, those from Public Bank, HSBC (Global Payments), Citibank, UOB Bank, OCBC Bank, Hong Leong Bank, RHB Bank and AmBank all can process AMEX should the machine is enabled to accept it.

Public Bank - a few Chinese restaurants in KL
HSBC (Global Payments) - Kinokuniya Bookstore KLCC
UOB Bank - The Han Room, Times Bookstore
Citibank - Subang Jaya Medical Centre
RHB Bank - Secret Recipe

Just to name a few...
*
CIMB terminals @ Uniqlo outlets also accept amex without an issue 😁

Hey guys. Just got my amex. But noticed that a lot of merchants dont accept it. Mind sharing some of the famous merchants that accept amex?

I tried few restaurants, online shopping, petrol stations, cant find any that accept amex at all...

If I use Grab then Amex, do I get treats point or cashback ?
*
Depends.

Reload into GrabPay eWallet -> Considered ewallet reload -> NO treatspoints, no cashback.
Pay for GrabRide with Amex card -> TP/cashback yes.
Pay for GrabFood with Amex card -> TP/cashback yes.

etc etc as long not reloading into the GrabPay eWallet, yes.

Guys, I found an ecommerce website using FPX for AMEX to make payment. Question, do I get the TP/CB or nothing?

Curious to know,Which e-commerce can use amex via fpx?
*
I did not process the order. I just clicked until the payment page and I saw I can select my Amex card.

For the ecomm site, it's PxMALL. Figure out the 'x'. I'm sure you will know/come across b4/heard b4 if you are into ecomm sites.

Thanks for the clarification. I'm still looking for any ecomm sites as big as Laz or Shopee takes Amex. Apparently, there's a way to use Amex on those 2 but I'm not sure how. Any insider tips?

You won't get weekend cashback and weekday Treatpoints so you will not be interested to use.

If I am not wrong, PrestoMall accepts Amex.
*
Yes, prestomall accepts it but prestomall most of the things are marked up and then show that the discounted price is usually the RRP or near RRP. Laz or Shopee still offers better price.

What do u mean by your first sentence? Are u able to use Amex on the big 2 ecomm sites like almost directly?

Use Lazada Wallet / TNG ewallet for Lazada and ShopeePay for Shopee, you should get >5% rebate, better than use credit card to pay. Eg use a Mastercard to top up Lazada Wallet on Tuesday early morning, 5% rebate (valid for 60 days only), T&C apply; For Shopee, a lot of Free Shipping Vouchers and Coins cashback vouchers are usable if you use ShopeePay instead of using a credit card to pay.

You can use Boost/Grabpay to buy MyDigi reward - Lazada/Shopee RM10 voucher at RM7.99, if available, T&C apply. You can use Amex to top up Boost/Grabpay. But I won't use this route because there are a lot of good alternatives without Amex.

Thanks! But by doing the bolded blue way wont earn us anything from MBB so back to square one. Thanks anyways!
