Is it possible to cancel the Visa (due to SST) and apply for Barcelona? So I will end up with Barcelona + Amex.

QUOTE(fruitie @ Nov 5 2018, 12:02 PM) Balance statement = Your outstanding payment that needs to pay on/before your due date. Basically it is for all the spending incurred during your last statement cycle. Oh ok, thanks cybpsych and fruitie. But if i recall correctly, last night i tried to pay the balance statement but the option to pay it didnt appear. Only had the option to pay my Outstanding.Outstanding statement = Balance statement + your unbilled transactions (which will appear in next statement) |

QUOTE(beLIEve @ Nov 5 2018, 01:08 PM) I just went in to looky see. There are a few options under Fund Transfer - Any Amount, Minimum Amount, Statement Amount, Outstanding Amount. If you use the Pay option (your card should appear under Favorites) and choose your card, you can just enter the amount you want. Alright, i will check again after work because cant cancel the visa if still got hutang hahaMaybe maybank2me doing maintenance when you went in last nite? I've encountered weird behaviors between 12am when they start daily maintenance all the way until 2am. |

QUOTE(kevyeoh @ Nov 5 2018, 12:45 PM) I think that is because your balance statement not include the cashback Ok so I finally got the chance to check, my 3 options of Minimum Payment, Statement Balance, and Outstanding Balance are RM 0.00, RM 75.86, and RM 0.00 respectively. I tried to pay off the 75.86 but kept getting error [Account not authorised/Amount exceeded outstanding balance. Reject code (0076)]. Its under my VISA card so i assume its not a cashback issue?.. once cashback in .. your outstanding becomes lower... they only allow you to pay what you owe... so try paying outstanding balance and see... should work ... having said that ... your outstanding amount should be lower than statement amount too ... |

QUOTE(fruitie @ Nov 6 2018, 12:12 AM) Statement balance will not reduce until next statement cycle. Just see your outstanding amount is reduced or not, in your case already zero means everything is cleared. Oh ok, my next cycle will be in 2 days so hope everything is clear by then haha. And yes my outstanding is zero. Thanks everyone for helping me out, very lucky i found this thread haha. |

QUOTE(cybpsych @ Nov 6 2018, 07:37 AM) think this way. Let me see if i got it right, whenever i use my card, it goes to Statement Balance first. Then, at the next cycle, any amount in the Statement Balance transforms into Outstanding Balance. Only when it becomes an Outstanding Balance will i be allowed to pay it off? Please correct me if im wrongcc statement balance = your other monthly bill statements, e.g. water bill, electricity bill, mobile bill (postpaid), unifi/broadband bills, etc statement balance = historical billed (usage) amount. because it's a cc, you use for 1mth (i.e. statement/bill cycle), then only you got billed each "cycle" and need to pay. cc bill is like a postpaid bill. use first, pay later. since it's a historical bill, you cannot CHANGE history information back to other monthly bills, once you pay the bills, does the bill goes back to ZERO? no, right? now, Oustanding Balance = tabung hutang bank some ppl will always payoff whenever they see any amount in Outstanding Balance. well, that defeats the benefits of having a cc. might just use Debit Card instead ok, below is a simple illustration that i did previously ... Also, the last time I forgot to pay my outstanding I got late payment penalty XD. |

QUOTE(cybpsych @ Nov 6 2018, 11:06 AM) wrong Ok, thats clearer but still, why am i getting an error (Amount exceeded outstanding balance) for trying to pay my statement balance? Is it because its not its DUE DATE yet? Is DUE DATE the same as CUTOFF date? Sorry I'm so bad at this hahahaOutstanding Balance is the MAIN "bucket" for all your current outsanding. on current Statement Date, the used amount is cutoff between previous statement date -> current statement date will be your Statement Balance. this is your "monthly" cc bill/statement. same as your other bills. always a certain cutoff period, right? make it short, ALWAYS pay STATEMENT BALANCE by DUE DATE. simple. |

QUOTE(cybpsych @ Nov 6 2018, 11:42 AM) your payment @ 25 Oct was to clear Statement Balance as of 8 Oct (Statement Date aka BILL DATE) <-- this is your CURRENT Statement Balance. Ohhhhh, ok i think i've got it now. I did spend an amount in between 9 Oct - 8 Nov, i should be expecting to be able to pay it come 8th nov right? Also, is it the 8th of every month for everyone else too?Statement Balance WILL NOT CHANGE because that's the historical bill @ 8 Oct. previously, Outstanding Balance = RM75.80, then after payment @ 25 Oct, Outstanding Balance = RM0.00. in short, you owe NOTHING. assuming no spending between 9 Oct - 8 Nov ...... your Nov statement would be generated @ 8 Nov, and NEW Statement Balance = RM0.00 |

QUOTE(cybpsych @ Nov 6 2018, 12:03 PM) yep, any spending between 9 Oct - 8 Nov, all will be statement-ed on 8 Nov, your bill date. this amount shall be your NEW Statement Balance. My Visa also still shown in M2U after i called to cancel about a few weeks ago. However, only my Amex was charged the SST. Do i need to call CS to remove it from my M2U or just leave it there?
