Dominos after the new refresh no longer accepts AMEX.

To pay with AMEX
1. Choose the cash option on checkout and pickup from the store. Can tap card to pay (tried it and they're still accepting AMEX in store)
2. If you have the old mobile app, can still use AMEX via payment there (not sure how long can use the old app)

If you're a cc customer after the 2018 SST law, cannot cancel one card, have to cancel both.
Also curious but why would you cancel the AMEX card and not the Visa/MasterCard?

Ah I see, that's understandable. Yep you're right, most of us use it as it's a no nonsense 5x tp and/or 5% cb card.
If you're able to change your spending habits, meaning changing the places you shop, then it's a great and easy to use card. Otherwise yes, do change your card to any other that suits your needs better

Hi, not sure if anyone posted this before but recently I found out you can pay your TNB, water utilities and a few other things at Pos Malaysia POS Automated Machine (POS PAM).
It's open 24/7 as the ones I've been to are outside the normal post office itself.

You can pay with a few eWallets, one being ShopeePay and more importantly, SPayLater (min RM10). Just entered my account number, amount and used SPayLater. Payment went through and next day TNB was cleared.
Then on weekend just pay off SPayLater balance and get my 5% cashback

No problem, only issues I find with this is:

1. Minimum RM10 as payment.
2. Sometimes the machine can be down without any ETA on when it will be fixed.
3. Not every post office would have a PAM machine, no harm in checking if your nearest ones do tho.

Also been seeing renovations happening at a few Pos Malaysia so maybe it will come soon to more locations.

Correct, when the machine scans your ShopeePay QR, select SPayLater (not your Shopee Balance). Then confirm the instalment period on your phone (I just select 1 month 0%) and done.
Then when it's the weekend, just go to SPayLater and choose Pay Early to pay your balance off. Choose your AMEX card (or add one if you haven't), pay and done.
FYI, you don't need to use SPayLater only on the weekend, can use it everyday. Just make sure to pay off the SPayLater balance on the weekend if you want that 5% cb.

Depends on the length of instalment you take. Usually the 1 month option is 0%, the rest might have a 1.5% fee

This maybe wasn't explained well in the SPayLater's section. Even though they say you can scan ANY DuitNow QR, they actually meant any MERCHANT's QR only.
This is also from my experience, if the shop is using proper merchant DuitNow QR, then you can use SPayLater. If they're using normal/personal QR, then it will only allow ShopeePay balance only.

FYI there may be a ghost limit on daily DuitNow QR payment via SPayLater. Mine seems to be RM300 max every 24 hours, after that no more QR payment. But if the shop scans your QR code then the only limit is your SPayLater balance.

Also, in case anyone haven't renewed their insurance, you can renew in Shopee via Allianz/Zurich and pay using SPayLater.
There's also via MyEG and paying using SPayLater, although not sure if the price + 5% cb is cheaper compared to just buying them off the insurance's pages directly.

True, but I got some other info. Contacted Etiqa on FB and they said this is the way to renew or buy insurance via AMEX. Unfortunately, don’t see a way to do it on the weekends

Ahhh so it isn't just me then. Previously it worked for me, recently it will say SPayLater error/not available at the moment.

When you check out on Lazada, it will ask for card detail and auto save no?
I did it recently and both my Amex was saved for next purchases no issue.

Probably here would be better although a bit OOT. This current thread mainly on the AMEX card for 5% weekend cb

Maybank has a buffer limit for you to overdraft. The amount is unknown (agent told last time is based on spending pattern) but there are no overdraft fees or such.

Ah yes, the photo I sent was from an online page so it was quite outdated.
The newer machines are like the one you sent.
So far have been using it for some time, even can get ShopeePay/SPayLater coupons which helps lower the bills even more.
Recently got 10% off my bill for using SPayLater, then addon another 5% from Amex card, quite a lot of savings

Those 10% promos randomly show up near the end when you have to press confirm to pay.
You can also buy some discounts from in that SPayLater section...somwhere inside there.
On 10.10, they sold voucher RM10 off at POS Malaysia for RM0.01.
Every month they also have RM5 off voucher for RM0.01 too. Just need to find it.

If not mistaken, you can use Amex at the RHB machine, just choose Visa/MC option and tap using physical card, not Apple Pay.
Tried it at a few places and seems to work.
But yes, otherwise choose to pay at counter and tap using the Maybank terminals there instead.

You can always pay TNB bills on their website using AMEX, but there's no cashback for it. Instead, the workaround we use is going to POS Malaysia's PAM kiosk and paying using SPayLater.
Then pay off SPayLater during the weekends.

FYI, there is also RM5 off min spend RM30 Pos Malaysia voucher on Shopee. I forgot where to find but you gotta dig through the app for it.
It costs RM0.01 so that's pretty much free RM4.99 off. You can buy those voucher 2x a month only, so might as well get RM9.98 off for free
