Here's the thing. Never say something does not mean it's not there. But of course, when someone say something, doesn't mean it's true. But if a few people can help ask, then we can know better.

What I think is, if business is good within the next few years, then cannot renew. If business is bad, then can renew. So, probably no definite answer for now, since they've just decided to allow to cancel one.

I asked for BT from my M2Visa to M2Amex first, CS asked if this was about cancellation and I said no.
Hopefully the BT is done soon enough, then will settle my outstanding and proceed to cancel M2Visa before they revert their decision (unlikely though)

I also don't think Maybank2me will revert the decision anytime soon. I'm curious though, Amex is a charge card, if you transfer balance, still can pay off on a monthly basis?

M2 Amex is a credit card
of course cannot balance transfer to the standalone Amex charge card

Me: Yes that's what I meant. I've cancelled the visa gold due to sst charges. Would like to know whether it will affect my Amex renewal approaching its expiration in future?

MBB: Thank you for the clarification. Yes, you may still use the AMEX credit card and it will be renewed automatically on the month of the renewal.

Cs: u need to cancel now only I can help to transfer the BT to amex
Me: ok, please proceed to cancel and transfer BT installment
Cs: what is the reason?

CS: understand, will proceed to terminate with immediate effect and please settle the outstanding today, BT installment will be transfer to AMEX within 5 working days.

if you can terminate the boring m2c visa/mc, wouldnt you jump onto this opportunity?

during call, cs may ask you whether you have installments (fyi, this includes BT or ezypay). you should know if you have any active BT ongoing with the card, if yes, request to transfer to other card including TP (if any), clear the current outstanding, then request to cancel the card.

My principal called to cancel the Visa, CS waived the SST n will transfer the points to Amex. Just gotta pay for Amex only. 👍😊
