Maybank GROUP give up credit limit RM8000 for Islamic.

You may request to revise CL: eg RM5000 for Islamic + RM3000 for conventional.

Maybank Group would not give you RM8000 for Islamic + RM2000 for Conventional (though you may expect another RM8000 instead of RM2000 but your application will be rejected).

Ya apply at other banking groups, A fresh CL for each card issuer if approved.

My sibling had a similar problem till he gave up. Convert from Islamic CL to Conventional is not workable, need to apply for a new conventional CC but it is likely rejected. IMO, get the conventional CC first, then convert a part of conventional CL to halal CL, then get Islamic cards.

MBB owns MAE and GrabPay (30%).
MBB serves Bigpay, Boost, ShopeePay etc. (The Acquiring bank)
Why MBB need to give good CB for top-up of ewallets? They are collecting transaction fee from most of the ewallet operators regardless of any bank card is used for top-up.
But MBB is giving good cashback from spendings eg MAE - 10% (March, April 2020).

The only big one that MBB can't share the CC fee is TnG wallet which is owned by CIMB and Alipay.

Bank's policy can be revised from time to time. But the golden rule is always there - Pay the Statement balance!

Not all, credit transaction is not always a payment!

Maybank CC's customer base is big, much bigger than PBB's + UOB's combined.

Over the past 10 years, My family might have spent not more than RM50 on SMS registrations, we did win >RM5000 from Maybank's campaigns.

I don't expect high return with zero cost. A Kiamsiap way is... use Unifi Mobile to send, workable only if the registration require IC number or card number, it is a pricing bug of Unifi Mobile.

For Maybank QRPay, I prefer MAE or CA/SA.
You won't get campaign cashback (eg 10% in March-April, 20% in May-June) if the payment is debited from credit card!

You still get Treatpoints/Cashback for online shopping including Lazada, Shopee.

You won't get TP/CB if you top up e-wallets including Lazada Wallet and ShopeePay.

Shopee and ShopeePay are different. Don't confuse.

No CB for M2 Visa/MasterCard, only 1x TP.
Shopee doesn't accept Amex, no CB/TP if FPX.
2%/10% CB for FCB VS.

Yes, deduct RM200 from your available credit limit, then the final transaction amount is posted to your ledger/statement. Same as Debit card, deduct from available credit balance, but only the final transaction amount is posted.

Assume you just got a new Amex with available credit limit of RM10000.
13/5... You pump petrol at Shell/Petronas, say final RM50.
After the transaction, your Available credit limit is RM9800, outstanding balance is RM0.00.
14/5 or 15/5... When the petrol transaction is posted, your outstanding balance is RM50, Available credit limit is RM9950.
