Guys, assuming u get CB rm50 last month, so for this month should you spend rm1000 or rm1050 to get max CB rm50 ? as spending rm1000- cb rm50 will consider u spend rm950 only and get rm47.5 cb this month?

Spend RM1000 for RM50 CB as always. CB does not take out your accumulated spending amount.

I got rejected from Maybank 2 times now. Maybank seem so hard to apply.
First time annual income was above 30k, failed.
Second time annual income was above 50k, still failed.
I had no loan from any bank and no hold credit card. Too clean that cause hard to apply credit card?

Yea. Try to get a CC from the bank that you bank in salary monthly.
Best to bank in salary to the same bank (if not direct transfer from your company).
They have your record and easier to get approval.

CIMB bank no good CC now. From your word, seem I need try apply from CIMB bank first.

Agreed. I applied Ambank credit card and it was rejected. My annual income was 1.5× of requirements. I asked the customer service why my application was rejected. They replied bank has
the right to reject application without any reason.

Then I applied Maybank 2 cards. I received salary via Maybank. I received SMS approval within 3 days.

After got the 1st CIMB card, then apply M2C again

If your company allows you to choose your bank, switch to Maybank2me instead of applying CIMB card.

Or try attach a copy of your CIMB savings passbook along with salary slip on your next application to prove it's real.

You can check the amex thread to see if the places that accept it are those you frequent. Otherwise just use it to pay bills.

Back there when my income was 3x of gold card requirement, and while the person recommend me too apply for m2c platinum , i still failed to get the m2c gold.
I only got it after 5th attempt over 3 years.

Speaking of Maybank2me cards, years ago they sent a couple of cards to the company I no longer worked for though I did not apply for them. I only found out when they started billing me for it and it shows up on Maybank2me. I don't really update my passbook, so it was past 6 moons when I found out so I could not get the detailed transactions on my passbook. They claimed they did not autodebit my savings, but nearly $100 showed up under the credit card section. Was still naive back then. Should've grilled them nicely to get me the detailed transactions on my savings account.

Today, I presume they'd whack me with 18% interest instead of autodebiting my savings, right?


Yes, every bank clearly stated that they reserve this right. I've been rejected because I wouldn't submit the additional docs they wanted, because the application form clearly stated A or B or C instead of A and/or B and/or C.

Would be interesting to know if anyone complained about it to a higher level at the respective bank. Yes, I did that, but I took too long to find the contact. The said bank officer won't give me the contact other than the general complaint channel.

Has anyone get their mbb amex card replacement before due to lost card and how much does it charged? I have blocked my card and it was set under unauthorized view in my mbb online so i cant view the outstanding amount. So should i call cs to query or any way round to check?

Yes. My record is clean. I had car loan in 2011, I cleared it in 2014. I did not have other loan. I didn't have any credit card prior to application.
