hi guys, my friend has failed all his credit card application over the 2 years, aroud 3 to 4 attempt. Last week he attempted to apply for gold2cards again but still failed, despite the increment in salary. Today he purchased a RAMCI report and his score report is 7/10. And his salary is way above the minimum requirement.

Is Maybank very strict for credit card application? I applied gold2cards 2 years ago and FCB recently without any problem, and my most recent score is 9/10.

Is 7/10 a really bad score?

Is there anyway to increase the chance for credit card application? I heard putting FD in Maybank can boost the chance, will that work?

sorry I forgot to mention that he tried to apply Citibank before also failed. Not sure what is wrong there

Hi guys, I recently changed the statement date from 3rd to 26th and I was expecting the statement to be ready today, however, the statement never came. I am suspecting the statement date has already changed to 26th (but the CS told me it will take 30 days).

That means my current statement just became 53 days (30 + 23).

Now the question is, if I pay the bill before statement, will that impact my CB for this month?

If I spend RM1000 but I also paid RM900 in the same statement, will the CB calculate only on the outstanding amount which is RM100 only?

no cb no TP if top up Lazada E-wallet, just pay directly using cards

I changed my statement date 2 months ago, and yes I can confirm that if you change statement date, the next statement will be prolonged more than a month, not less than a month.

3 of my credit cards got charged SST today.

Called to ask the CS as I only got my FCB last year July and I already got charged SST that time.
Only learned that the SST is charged at the beginning of year, not based on the age of card (which I thought is on the July 2020).
I have read the FAQ before maybe I didn't fully understand it previously

anyway, good news is that, I managed to cancel my Mastercard Gold whilst keeping my AMEX ( old card holder here ). Good to know that they still allow old card holders to cancel one of the cards up till today.

ops sorry , I got it wrong again. Surprisingly all my cards are dated to expire @ Jan.

for SST caskback redemption just phone call, no form is needed. Did twice already. Very convenient. not sure for others

don't think you can pay a credit with another credit.
