I will need to make a payment of about RM 26k next week (local transaction for university fees), and hoping to use one my credit cards (credit limit is RM 30k).

My queries are :
1. Which one of my cards would be the best choice to earn maybank treats points ?

2. Is it advisable to opt for monthly instalment plans with maybank ? (I can pay the full amount, but just wondering if there's a better way to optimize my finances).

My credit cards (currently zero outstanding payments):
1. Maybank Visa Infinite
2. Maybank Platinum 2 Cards (Visa)
2. Maybank Platinum 2 Cards (AMEX)

As for my previous experience, the point will stay with your old card, till u utilize it. but not advise to drag to long. once you get your new card/before activation, can call to redeem the point of the old card. Can request cs to deduct the points from old card 1st when do redemption.

If I ald holding M2C Gold before SST, and I managed to cancel the Visa / Mastercard.
Now I'm trying to upgrade my Gold card to Platinum. Am I able to cancel the Visa / Master? Or will I even get the Visa / Master since I'm actually upgrading instead of applying new.

my Amex was tied to Visa before and I've already cancelled Visa 2 years ago when they first introduce the SST tax. Now I'm just pondering if I should even cancel the AMEX. I believe if your card was approved before 2018 you could cancel one of it and anything after that you keep both or cancel both

Bank had not set any limit i think, but will convince you to upgrade the card to higher level if you wish to increase the credit limit. i experience this for my citibank clear card (maintain card because of CBTL n buy 1 free 1 movie ticket) bank send me many time for gold card but i discard it and told clear card reach max credit limit. but my credit for clear card now nearly 50k, previous it told max limit is 20k++

Will i be getting 2 platinum card instead of 1 ?

If approve, they will send you platinum, with same number. if you already cancel your visa, then U will only get Amex. Double confirm with them when you apply.
