Is anyone else having statement dates as of end of the month or early month?

Maybank seems to be not sending statements via email for few of my accounts.

Maybe a reminder to those who didn’t receive them as well to check your statements online.

There’s no “upgrade “ but can apply for new card or add card. The new platinum will come with both visa/master+Amex which u can no longer discard one of it.

You can continue to hold Amex gold or request transfer to platinum once u got it and decided to cancel gold.

Amex platinum charge cards comes with the lounge benefits. Not those partner Maybank cards. They are different cards. Maybank issues credit cards.

And the staff don’t swipe to check. They bill the bank / issuer of the card, which is then absorbed by them. That’s why u don’t see the charges appear in ur statement.

You need to send them your statement + ticket purchase receipt.

Although they are offering free travel insurance, the coverage is not really up to par. It doesn’t include damaged luggage and other common compensation like theft etc. their delay compensation is for four hours and above- which means usually u need to be stranded more than 5 hours only eligible.

Maybe just my experience- all my delayed flights actual time were reported less than actual ones. Meanwhile travel insurance covers from two hours onwards. The only time I’ve received an honest delay note was from MAS yearsss ago - surprisingly.

So it might be good to have complimentary travel insurance, it is best if you actually go through the tnc and see if it covers your trips completely or not.

Oh geez. I called cs last year and was told they don’t offer such thing for travel purposes. End up topping settling cc before dues twice while in US.
