U can cancel them if u do not use the card(s) after SST is charged.

Confirmed Maybank 2 cards now only get 30% off for dining at SPG group of restaurants..

No more 50% for 2 pax, 40% for X pax etc...

Unlikely. Some will not be cancelled and both sets of cards can be active at the same time.

My guess is based on credit card application experience in M2U.
It's automated.

Y don u just cancel the gold card.. sst is per card basis..

Unless it is new flow right now? I upgraded mine last year September. And i got 4 cards till December then only i called to cancel my m2u gold. The reason was my monthly insurance premium charged to my gold, so after filing some documents to change card, then finally saw the premium charged to my platinum then only i called to cancel my gold.

Again the silly thing, CS is like robotic reply:
β€œCan I know why you want to cancel your m2c gold?”

I told him obviously I already got the platinum, that is why I want to cancel the gold. 🀣

all cs centers/sop usually need to ask for a reason to be recorded into their crm. this is for data compilation and stats to the mgmt.

same as previously-ended amex 5%. they would've noticed dramatic drop in spending from amex card (but unaware of increase in complaints/card termination). so, who do they turn to? one of it is asking cs center for complaint statistics they received. from the complaints, then they breakdown to list of reasons. the numbers presented to the product/marketing/mgmt for review. they can either react (revise or retract their previous decision) or ignore (stick by their decision).

with the volume of card users out there, and even more incoming calls through cs center, data/stats is the way to find out the trend/behavior of the users out there. that's the voice of customer stats.

Guy, I have called CS few month back requested to cancel my visa card. The CS guy said okay will proceed.

Now I'm still seeing the visa card in my m2u. Does this meant my visa card is not canceled ?

over the years, i redeemed battery-powered shaver, multi-cooker, air fryer, McD & Aeon Big vouchers; the last 2 being offered at lower TP's at MBB card centre, 1U & Mid-Valley. smile.gif
