Someone got nearly 200 million Treatpoints then Maybank investigated and recalled some TPs.

You play with 1 Boost account only, you can't accumulate 1mil TP in 1 year!
*
Wow this is good news. I plan only 4500 into boost. Gives me 22500 a month. One year also less than 300k.

Hope its all fine. But I'll try to calculate using my Microsoft Excel first. See which one more worthwhile. Haha thanks

all these amex boost topup should proceed with caution. once ur boost account get flagged then no more topup with the same amex card
*
Hmm flag for? Well I use boost to buy stuffs at tesco, buy some food and drinks, here and there. And I have NEVER withdrawn from boost. The money goes somewhere else, and treated as payments. And I withdraw from the somewhere else. It's safe I guess. Hope they don't flag me la.

I think he's not referring to you specifically.
It's just a general precautionary comment.
*
Yup I know. I do agree with him. Like we topup 4500 into boost using BP. It's still the same risk whether it's BP or Amex.

It's impossible that someone keeps spending 4.5k a month. Like one shot 1.5k out. So to avoid suspicions, I pay in different amounts to the somewhere else.

It is very rare discussed here. Actually someone mentioned it in bigpay thread many months ago. Just that once, that person mentioned.

Does the Lazada e-voucher RM500 needs to be utilised in one go or can split transaction? Any minimum purchase only can use the e-voucher? If I buy something RM600, can use RM500 e-voucher and the balance RM100 pay from lazada wallet?
*
Correct. If u spend lesser than 500, balance burn. If more than 500, then pay balance using lazada wallet/credit/debit card.

Aha I think we are discussing a different one. Aha we are going too far. Let's just stay with the maybank thread.

Maybank Great Sale

https://www.maybank2u.com.my/maybank2u/mala...bbsale0319.page

Terms and Conditions

I have read the Terms and Conditions, but I want to be really sure.

If I am interested in only RM99 Cash Back, I do not need to pay anything to Maybank, other than fulfilling the qualifying entries of RM100 transactions, right?

Yes, I know that the terms and conditions state that Eligible Cardmembers will be shortlisted by Maybank's randomizer programme, and it is by luck.

Thank you for the clarification. smile.gif

yup seems like it.

i read many review n comment saying that "maybankard 2 gold & platinum cards" is one of the best cb card around, seem better than mbb fcb, however the former require swipe on weekend, cap at 50 n amex have limited usage compare with visa master, i am still quite puzzle it is better in what context, perhaps only the 5x treat point?
*
well it's kinda true, in the traditional way of using, such as retail and normal online spending, if you take away boost and bigpay

u only need to spend upto 1k to get rm50cb and rm10 in TP value, total rm60 worth of cb.

mbb fcb is good in its own way since u get cb everyday, but only rm50 (2%) after 2500 spending. for many middle income, it's difficult to spend that much.

that is, until bigpay came around, making the 2500 (mbb fcb) spending looks small, and everyone can achieve the rm50 cb.

now, with boost, the game changed again for amex.

It may and everyone should know it as its possible to be rejected due to number of cards. U cant deny the experience unless u have higher evidence by proving facts, research etc. although testimony is the lowest evidence, it still the best evidence, yet.
*
your case is the isolated one. I never had issues too many cards. I only had issues with commitments due to certain banks credit limit too high. it's still financial commitment. and for people that say ccris may affect card application, this is more probable as I was rejected once during the ccris blacklist period. but I still managed to get HP for car with maybank. thus different banks have different assessment and it's their discretion to give a facility to the customer.

*
Wallet size for the month is 4.5k. Size at any given time is 1.5k. Go read TnC.

Sorry TS. We are not supposed to flood the page with boost. I insaf. Will go over to dedicated boost thread.

ah thanks for the reply
sorry for asking noob question but if i just pay the minimum amount required, or as much as i could, like 1k
how much will i be charged per month for the remaining 3k that is unpaid yet
*
go read TnC on the interest portion. and remember it's compounded. if u can't afford, u can use the balance transfer method if u have another bank's credit card. just see the other bank's website for balance transfer promo. the interest is lower.

but please, always spend within your means. if u earn 3k, spend only 1k.

boost server is located locally right? so if I wanna use AMEX to reload boost I can do it anytime during weekend?
*
Well it belongs to Axiata company, a parent company of Celcom. If parent company in Malaysia, sure the subsidiary also in Malaysia.

You logic is Not right. Axiata is a public listed co. in Bursa Malaysia. Axiata owns a lot of companies outside Malaysia, including Singapore, Cambodia, India.  biggrin.gif
*
But boost is only available locally in Malaysia right? I don't see why my logic isn't right. Boost is only available in Malaysia I believe, parent company also in Malaysia. So its only logical that the server is in Malaysia. Unless parent company is an oversea company, then high chance server is located overseas.
