Scan & Pay -> PAY -> Change -> CARDS -> [Amex] -> Proceed

Please note
No weekend CB or Treat points for QR Pay transactions.
No token to play Tap & Win.
Not many merchants will accept if the source of fund is by credit card. (Normally the merchants have card device accept Amex so swipe Amex card that give Cashback/Treat points)

looks like hard to get cashback using amex now

Not difficult with Spaylater.
But it won't last long, enjoy it while it lasts.

Also can buy groceries, petrol, dining at Lazada App and Shopee App. Both accept Amex.

You won't be able to exactly pinpoint the exchange rate as it fluctuates everyday.
I understand where you're coming from, you want to agak2 the rate right?

If that's the case, you can just take MBB's forex USD selling rate, convert to MYR and then add 2.5% to it. Source of 2.5% (keyword find 2.5%)

Hi,
Just spent with my credit card at SG recently, I purposely want to try out different card at different date for overseas spending :

UOB Visa:
17Oct
Changi Airport (buy Sim card)
$48 > RM162. 08

18Oct
Decathlon SG Lab (self service machine)
$16.80 > RM56. 59

M2P Amex:
19Oct (Sat)
- McD (pay at counter)
$8.50 > RM28. 64

If compare visa (1.5%) vs Amex (2.5%), overall they are not so much differece eh. If you include 5% cashback then definitely better rate than buying forex and use cash.

Conclusion : Worth using Amex overseas if they are widely accepted in that country.

Hello guys, I have had these cards for about a month now, still a bit confused.

So it seems Amex has no TP when used during weekends, which basically means I should avoid using AMEX on weekends once I have reached RM1000 weekend spending? Is this the normal practice?

EDIT: any benefits of swiping AMEX during weekends when already reach 1000 spending? This seemed counter intuitive.

For groceries, it is better to get MBB VS that gives 5% cash rebate for every day upto RM88 per month.
No need to limit just for weekend spending.

It is better if spending is >30k and able to maximize cashback at the same time.

But will be charged annual fee of 550 if do not hit minimum spend of 30k after the first year.

I cancelled my VS as my spend isn't that high for groceries and petrol.

I tried to top up ewallet and govt spending though they are not entitled to cashback/treatpoints.
Just to make up the 30K annual spending will do.

Just tried using my M2 Amex at KFC self service kiosk, do not accept, as it was a RHB terminal. The staff ask me to pay at counter and I saw it was a Maybank terminal.

But then I saw shopee pay at the Kiosk payment option, so I end up paying using SPayLater.

This will be my very first time paying with SPayLater.

If you pay today using Amex there’s no cash back, today is not a weekend.

No Cashback if reload ShopeePay.

Spaylater is not ShopeePay, you use Amex to settle the pay-later debt. You can't pay extra / in advance if there is no outstanding.

icic. ok. thanks.

besides, still not really clear about how to do this.

what are the steps to pay the tnb bill using maybank 2 card amex?

1) pay tnb bill using spaylater? - where to do it? online or at the counter? if counter, which counter?

2) then how to pay using amex 2 card?

sorry, i know this was shared previously here, but i seriously still not no clear idea how to do so as i do not use spaylater before.

thanks.

I asked before.

You see if you can find TNB within Shopee.

But if you are willing to go to Pos Malaysia counter, then yes, possible.
