QUOTE(TangerineM8ndarin @ Nov 22 2023, 01:21 AM) I feel like I've made a huge mistake applying for this card. I just got a call from Maybank ytd to confirm if I want to take the 2 gold card and I said yes, but turns around to find out the merchant that I frequent actually doesn't accept Amex. Should I just call them and say I want to cancel it or say I want to change another card lol. I feel so stupid right now. Don't activate the cards when you receive them and bring the cards back to a branch for cancellation.

QUOTE(ClarenceT @ Sep 30 2023, 05:12 PM) Then use Amex to buy Petron fuel vouchers at Lazada. Or use Shopee Paylater at Petron, then use Amex to settle SPayLater debt. Do we get 5x TP? Or just CB during the weekend only?

Lazada, Shopee, bill payments, supermarkets, petrol, Etiqa etc. You can also use the bundled Visa/MasterCard to earn 1x Treatpoint. I doubt you can find a good alternative Visa/MasterCard from Maybank unless you "convert" from Maybank to Maybank Islamic (good only for Petrol, Groceries and Online). "Transaction Date" must be Saturday or Sunday. No Cashback on E-wallets, Government related transactions, Utilities (Electricity), Jompay, FPX and not retail transactions (eg Cash Advance, Balance Transfer, Card Service Tax).

Like others mentioned, it's fairly easy to trace the cashback. As long as the transaction date is on weekend and doesn't fall under the exclusion list. But I remember sometime it will have some "glitch" like foodpanda the transaction date doesn't follow the exact time.

I like. yes tagging only, and total of cb per category. still no itemized cb per transaction- wise's category round is good as it rounds up to nearest RM1, effectively reducing actual total category spending too.

I don't think cashback is ever counted as itemized anyway in backend. Very inefficient to do that way. Sum amount and then apply cashback percentage (with some rounding rules) is faster/better.

The poor CS fella will sit there and scroll scroll scroll and one by one count.
