Good news, time to load up Boost with Amex on weekend. Entitled for 1x/5x Treatpoints too?
*
QUOTE(beebee1314 @ Apr 2 2019, 07:16 AM)
I see through app, not through website. Dunno got TP or not.
*
I top up RM4000* only using Amex since 13/3. It is under Telecommunications for Amex-Boost (M2U pie-chart). I received 5X TP since 14/3.

* I did suggest we could top up RM15k in a month to get RM50 rebate + RM150 worth of Treatpoints (Boost Thread).

If you have M2 Amex, why still trying to use BigPay to top up Boost? Amex can give better return than Bigpay!

Can 15k meh? Tot wallet limit max a mth is 4500? Anyway I'll keep my Amex spending at 4.5k as I used another channel to withdraw money.

Also we use BP topup because BP withdrawal is very expensive. RM6 each time. So previously, I send it to Boost then boost send it somewhere else before withdrawal. So for bigpay, I only kena one time RM6. Boost withdrawal is too slow. Last time I did, need wait almost a week. The somewhere else only 2 days max.
*
Assume you withdraw RM3000 at RM6 cost, ie around 0.2%.
You top up Boost using Amex, you get 5TP worth 1%.
Why not you pay 0.2% but gain 1%? smile.gif

For RM15K limit, you can search at Boost Thread. At your own risk.

Oh boost thread. I know that guy who shared it. But I'll keep at 4500 wallet limit

Anyway, is there any TP limit? Lazy to find tnc
*
Someone got nearly 200 million Treatpoints then Maybank investigated and recalled some TPs.

You play with 1 Boost account only, you can't accumulate 1mil TP in 1 year!

So if I apply M2 Plat, I'll be given 2 CCs, 1 Amex and 1 Visa
both with no annual fees, and sup cards also free, correct?

and how about the SST, means if I apply for 1 sup card as well, I'll need to pay RM25 x 3 annually?

Now still can cancel off the Visa card but take Amex only? hmm.gif

And lastly for merchant accepting Amex, it's very limited right?  Where you guys usually use it beside Boost nowadays for maximum points?

Sorry, zero experience with amex cards tongue.gif
*
You will get 1 set sup cards, so RM25X4 SST, or 10K treatpoints per CC.

Can I pay Taobao payment on wekeend and earn the 5% rebate?
*
QUOTE(#Victor @ Apr 3 2019, 05:36 PM)
maybe by cases and up to management discretion.
yes if u can pay using Amex
*
Provided Taobao accept Amex! Try! tongue.gif

I have another solution that give you more than 2% (Note: +3% surcharge by Taobao for using foreign Credit card).

Use Amex to top up Boost on Sat/Sun, earn 5% weekend rebate + 5 TPs.
Use RevPay-Boost to pay Taobao, only 1.5% surcharge (occasionally waived) instead of 3% surcharge (if using credit card).
Earn Shake rewards from Boost.

Thank alot! I will try them this weekend. Any card that can earn more rebate for taobao shopping?
*
Maybank FC Barcelona VS - 2% / 10%
Public Quantum Visa - 5% (Departmental) using Taobao App to buy Tmall items (not sure on other TB items)
Taobao transaction is not considered "Online", as it will not go through OTP verification.

But I stop using CC to pay Taobao now as it is less attractive. RevPay is offering discount/rebate every few weeks, eg Maybank QR -18% in January, Boost RM150-RM12 last week (+shake reward).

You want to know how? Go to Boost Thread, do a search ("RM15k" and "RM15000"). At your own risk.

Hi all sifu
Just curiously asking,
is it possible to apply platinum even income is yet to achieve 60k/yr? (a bit diff)

the travel insurance seems attractive as well as product protection plan
has been loyal m2u gold for 4 years +, will it helps?

thx!
*
It is not a comprehensive travel insurance, not covering your medical and inconvenience cost beyond flights. You still need to buy a new Travel Insurance to cover your holidays.

RM 6,000 X 12 months = RM 72,000 for 12 months
Income requirement RM60,000 per annum
So you are eligible.

do you still rmb u applied the upgrade through email or call or card center?

Wonder which channel has higher success rate by not just easily filtering out non-eligible applicant.
*
xiaoxiaoshen is eligible, RM72000 > Income requirement.

Yes I did receive 5% weekend rebate but no Treatpoints (last done in Jan 2019).
I won't do it again just because I can now use Amex to top up Boost e-wallet.

Cash out from Boost then pay LHDN (0% surcharge)
But no chance for lucky draw and instalment plans.

*
QUOTE(mamamia @ Apr 5 2019, 06:01 PM)
Yes, I think he use to offset with 5x points he earned, which is equivalent to 1% cb
*
Assume RM1000 and weekend rebate RM50,

Pay Income Tax RM992.06 + RM7.94 surcharge
Net gain RM50-RM7.94 = RM42.06

Top up Boost and use bank account to pay income tax RM992.06 (+RM7.94 on hand)
Net gain RM50 + RM10 (value of 5000 Treatpoints) - RM2 (withdrawal) = RM58.00

So RM15.94 to buy a chance to win RM500

Amex top up boost got 5% rebate.
If split it into 1k per mth.
10 mth x 50 rebate = 500 (MAX CAP)
50k TP = RM 100
MINUS
BOOST charge RM 2 x 10
500+100-20= RM480

EQUAL 4.8% P.A. (480/10K)

Problems: boost withdrawal got lot of technical issues
*
RM4500 per month. 22500 TP (RM45) + RM50.
No need to maximise effective rate which is meaningless. What we want is to maximise the reward+rebate amount.

Well it belongs to Axiata company, a parent company of Celcom. If parent company in Malaysia, sure the subsidiary also in Malaysia.

You logic is Not right. Axiata is a public listed co. in Bursa Malaysia. Axiata owns a lot of companies outside Malaysia, including M1 Singapore, Smart Cambodia, Idea India. biggrin.gif

But boost is only available locally in Malaysia right? I don't see why my logic isn't right. Boost is only available in Malaysia I believe, parent company also in Malaysia. So its only logical that the server is in Malaysia. Unless parent company is an oversea company, then high chance server is located overseas.
*
But why someone was paying Maxis bill online at 1am on Sat, but the transaction date was Friday? smile.gif

If Boost is at different time zone, it is a good news to those holding Maybank FC Barcelona VS. tongue.gif
