M1 is still good buy for that budget. You can consider buying used as I am sure a lot of people are selling their M1 by now.
*
Yes, the best price I can get fo used is rm500-550. Might get a new set since I dont want to take a risk on the used phone.

Congrats, enjoy your new toy!

There has been a number of complaints on the instability of Pie, so you may want to hold off first.

Stop until .340

Asus Malaysia Support

Try using M1P until .340 first. If everything is in order, stay with it. Only OTA to "P"opcorn after Asus released second OTA for "P"opcorn (which is ETA around 3 months from 24th May 2019)

Thx bro. It's been a while having a new phone. Last time was 2014. 😂

So hoping we'll stay with M1P until year 2023....? That 5,000 mAh energy supply is about 2,500 mAh by year 2023...

My last phone stay with me from 2014 till this year. This phone is super fast. Me like it.

Accidentally upgrade to pie. The only problem that I encounter at the moment is I can't use my phone as a hotspot. How to solve this? Using celcom .

1st : check the APN settings.
2nd : Try to swap SIM slot from Slot 1 to Slot 2, vice versa.
3rd : Reset network settings.

Thanks. Will update later.

If use VPN to hotspot, better check with network provider... By right, without VPN, the hotspot should work alright in SIM slot 1...
*
Change Sim time blackberry, I can hotspot. Change back to M1, no Internet on the hotspot . Haishh...

Found the solution.

Go to your "access point names" setting in your sim settings. Then choose the selected APN and add "DUN" to the comma separated list of "APN Type". This solved the issue for me.

Done. Now can hotspot. Yayyy..

Get the CD Slot type.... Don't buy the air vent type (block cold air and mobo ruined due to condensation...)

Source : Shopee

Alternatively, CD Slot magnetic holder:

I'm using the magnetic variant to avoid rattling sound of the gravity holder type... Hoco magnets are very strong... Don't know about other brands...

Hunt around for cheaper price...

Magnetic type won't disturb phone signal?
