It's called "Adoptable Storage".

But, future OTAs may fail to be installed...

The only "option" I'm being granted is portable storage.

I'd leave it as it is, if I were you. Apps work more efficiently from the internal drive than from SD card and your phone will work better that way (speaking from experience).

Besides, you can always have an emulated or customized folder system in your portable drive to manually transfer all your downloads and media files to. Lot's of space for that @ 64GB.

Been using the excellent Asus File Manager, with Wireless PC file transfer (v2.0.0.397_180123) alongside the (uninstallable and crappy) stock file manager to manage files and folders on both drives.

Lot's of apps still come with SD Card support for downloads and saves.

Edit: just updated to the slick looking, dark themed new version, v2.3.1.36_180831 (1520301182) just now.

yeah....no doubt it work best for internal drive.

It seems like this phone have more compromise than what i expect it......no dual band and slow performance of 4g network

addition, i found out that if you are plugged into QC certified adapter it will not charge 1A> .

gotta use those inhouse brand like aukey itself AiO high output port it only charges higher amp.

anyhow going to dispose of this phone or let it in my store room mega_shok.gif .....going for note9

Bought this phone last week due to dual sim capability and massive battery (unifi mobile for heavy download by tethering to my pc and Umobile for everyday usage)

Battery life is definitely delivered but 4g connection on unifi mobile was problematic, speed is between 100kbps - 300 kbps and always disconnected from 4G connection (unifi mobile unlimited plan only works on 4G)

End up putting the unifi sim into my old Xperia Z ultra, getting stable 700kbps - 1.5 mbps speed on my pc through tethering.

M1 does not support UniFi Band 38...

Attached Image

But if it connected to Band 5 of UniFi, it should perform like many other smartphones in terms of network stability.

I have used the UniFi Mobile SIM for a week and have no trouble in getting 4G LTE constantly. Perhaps it was just a "spike" at that particular moment that the LTE is unstable.

For me it's a little flimsy, prefer a unibody construction.. but for RM599, you're right. Can't complain smile.gif

Thanks for 4G testing. Guess it band 5 because band 5 stronger than band 38.
Xperia Z ultra is old phone with jelly bean or kit kat drool.gif
Many reviewer never test GPS, 4G, VoLTE and wi-fi. All they care is camera and gaming only.
