I owned a Xiaomi phone before...As I remember ,.it got gps connection problem?

Is Xiaomi phone still got such problem? Which model don't have gps problem? Is Xiaomi phone protected by Gorilla glass ?

old xiaomi model used to have this issue compare to new model..
mayb u can consider mi a2 if u prefer stock android..

I have owned Mi3 and Mi5 with GPS problem.

Occasionally can, occasionally cannot. Not sure software or hardware issue...

My redmi note 3 (MTK version) has faced GPS issues since day one. Not sure about the newer models.

A1 no problem.

Mi3 and anything before 2016 very problematic.

Funnily, my Mi3 does not have GPS problem but my Huawei P9 does have it very often.

Was thinking to change to Pocophone but if the GPS problem persist, it's a no go for me.

If I'm not wrong, Xiaomi earlier models got GPS issue because of their mediatek chip.

Not quite true that only the MIUI models are affected. Even the Mi A1 has the same issue despite running stock Android. I am
using one as my work phone and it's brilliant except for the regular GPS outage. I'm still pushing the Xiaomi service center for
a solution but it's pretty hopeless

My ex Google Nexus 6P also have GPS problem. Heck, even the LG G5 also same. Sold both immediately.

Best with excellent GPS is Moto Z Play or Z2 Play. I've both, never lost signal. Moto Z sometimes go bonkers. Sold that too.

For my daily driving phones, only 2 always with me. Z Play and Z2 Play. Both either acting as hotspot or GPS.

I believe it MIUI issue, having the problem with Waze unable to fix GPS, im using Mi Max 1, after flash to Lineage the GPS issue went away. But if you still prefer MIUI then need to on and off flight mode only gps will fix location.

My Redmi note 4 no GPS issue. Hmm weird. Always find my location immediately, even when I'm in a building. So far so good. I have some problems previously. After updating my miui 9.6.1.0, seems like problem solved.
