you have basically answer the question of whether to get FS or HT for your xc use....since you are more into downhill......put more budget on your downhill setup & just get an average HT for xc ride since you wont be doing much XC ....my 2 cents opinion...

Ya lo.. I agree also. Put all on downhill, and just get a ht for cycling uphill and for fun rides... At least u get to feel both really different bikes also, which I think is more worth it. hehe..

whoa you budget must be big....thinking of either transition or SC as XC ride....i was thinking something average ..like norco, merida lower end or even maybe polygon 

anyway......envy you that you are able to own 2 different bikes.....me oredi susah want to justify to FM for upgrades

hehhe.....really happy today change my drivetrain to XT08 at KSH...really smooth & quiet.. ....change my sprocket, rd, fd, chain, crank, rapid shifter & brake lever....hurt my wallet but really worth.....oh ya....have my old stuff for very cheap sale now..lower spec than yours but may be of interest to those who want to set up 2nd bike or something..pass the word around......so happy today

i think if i use the XT crank i think it will bengkok in 6 months time LOL

but the truvativ bb sucks..need to service evry one or other ride..
