Thanks to Strikermac for creating the thread. Have a few info to contribute. The list may follow UK / Australia, but time will tell. Link below is refer to the said possible listing.

http://www.wixy500.com/additions-panini-f1-collection/

The UK / Australia to have a run of 60 issues but some other countries was said to have up to 120 issues (this based on 2nd hand info) I have some reservations about Allscript, they have the tendency to "cut off" the series prematurely. Hope fully this is not the case.

Have seen the series (Issue #1) in MPH Publika, not sure if is in Borders or Popular.

Hi strikermac, thanks for creating the thread!

First issue is Ayrton Senna's 1988 MP4/4, priced at RM 12.90.

Model seems to be ixo, judging from the plinth style. Not available everywhere yet as my friend in Ipoh got one - and newsstands in Kepong haven't even heard of it yet.

Later models seem to be a mix of IXO and Bburagos, with newer F1 cars looking more like BBuragos.

The link above citing Wixy 500 for the 60 car list seems to be the most accurate as the first 4 cars we are receiving seems to be the same.

Edit: Their fb page is this. https://www.facebook.com/F1CarCollection/

If anything, we can refer to how their models look like.

Models I’m keeping my eyes peeled for include the 2000, 2004 and 2007 Ferraris, plus maybe even the 2015 Ferrari (some markets had the SF15-T that helped Seb win the Malaysian GP. [the proof being that they gave it accurately orange-marked Pirelli P-Zero slicks.]

I too managed to get the MP4/4.

P.S: Under F1 2015 tire rules, orange markings are resrved for hard tires.

I don't think my place gonna selling this series.
My place Popular only bring in Pansing partworks.
Another bookstore did bring in AllScript partworks,
but most they partworks stuck at the beginning issues...
So unlucky me... anyway still wish will see it soon.

BTW guys, forgot to explain some info, most of you may be do know already, about the logo...

user posted image

The left is old logo, also printed at the collection magazine cover as well.
And the right side is the latest logo of F1, if we lucky to get the series far enough, it appear around Issue#51.
But, the thread logo cover will use the old one, let most of the collectors easy to recognize the thread.
If needed will change the logo in the future. thumbsup.gif

Its MP4/15 from minichamps. IINM the MP4/14 will be coming to this collection according to the UK list... if we get lucky.

btw, my MP4/4 got smudges of white paint on the rear wing (on the black part), didnt noticed it while purchasing the magazine. Luckily i have tamiya paint and touch up the car lol

This is making me anxious - Kepong outlets still don't have any. However, strikermac you may want to update this info: Allscript themselves confirmed that they will not be sending to MyNews and 7-11s. I called them this morning to confirm that they indeed will be delivering to Popular and MPH (not sure about other big names).

I left my number with the bookstores though, this series looks like a must subscribe for me!

I see... got it, change a bit info at 1st post.
But my place EM SBW Popular didn't deal with AllScript for sure.
Cuz like last time series such like Ferrari GT Collection, 007 cars, Trains etc.
all come from AllScript they didn't have it.
Only now Rally Cars, Millennium Falcon, Robi from Pasing they did have.
So I need to wait the other not in the list name Public bookstore did bring AllScript stuff.
But... juz hope they do bring it in... dry.gif

Went to Allscript HQ Subang to buy #2 issue. There have been backlog on the distribution due to the many public holidays, inc next week. According to the staff, they already have 5-6 issues shipped to them, no time to process. Also mentioned issue #2 may be available to the public in 2 weeks time. If anyone plans to buy issues after #2 from Allscript HQ Subang, best go end of Sept or call for status.

The first issue, Senna's McLaren design is pretty ugly. I mean the real car, not the model.
I will probably be getting some of the more modern designs.

Well, back then the usage of aero on F1 cars is still new. Personally i like the 80s cars because the design is elegant and simple.

There was a time where teams were free to design and experiment on their cars and engines, hence the very unique shapes. Some were beautiful and others were wacky, the McLaren MP4/4 claimed 15 poles and 15 wins out of 16 races in 1988.

Well, what I heard is all EM bookstore is depend by one of the KCH agent/distributor.
If the agent/distributor don't want to deal with AllScript or Pansing, then we won't see the collection at EM for sure. sad.gif
That also why we get the collection delay, cuz it should be use normal parcel sending, around 2~3 weeks to arrive.

Am not sure where they got issue #10, as far as Allscript Subang, they have up to issue #5. The next shipment maybe around end of this month.

On the binder, there is none, Allscript Subang mentioned that the distributor didn't give them any so far.

The reason why the stocks are limited was the shipment to Malaysia are from left over stocks from other countries, like in UK or Australia. Allscript Subang also need to repackage all stocks received (i.e. dusty or teared plastic bags) hence the distribution is slow.

All information above is based on Allscript Subang explanations.

About issue #10, am sure they may have gotten from other channels since the series was available in 2016.

Really?
I got mine at MPH Aeon Wangsa Maju. I think MPH Melawati Mall has it too. Popular bookstores in the area might have them too.
I prefer to buy them at MPH because they are wrapped in plastic. Popular stocks are unwrapped and all piled up like lelong sale.

Yes. Depends on location. Hardly seen shops selling the magazine around bangi and kajang. So i have to travel a bit to find one. I think outside of KL is very hard to find.

So if you guys bought any new issues, please post the location also. Help your fellow collectors smile.gif

Anyone staying in Klang Valley can visit this place, Jasema Enterprise, a local stationary shop. They have multiple copies of issues #1 to 3 currently. Have been buying from them since the days of the die-cast tank collection. Hard to find parking on weekdays, best go there on weekends.

Thanks for continuing the list.
Unfortunately there is no Jaguar model, the green one during the 2000-2004 season. That is a pretty nice car.

depends. if you're looking for a particular model, best call in first to check availability and get them to reserve for you to avoid disappointment. if to subscribe or look see look see... walk in's fine (just make sure it's during their biz hours).

Thx for the list, I'm just going to collect Senna's car and I got the first one already. So no. 8, 24, 34, & 60 to get. (I actually already have the 93 McLaren bought long time ago but in 1:18 scale.)

im looking for this issue. but need to wait for it.
Issue 6: Ferrari F2002 Michael Schumacher (2002)
Issue 27: Sauber C23 Felipe Massa
Issue 29: Mclaren MP4/14 Mika Hakkinen (1999)

To wait till issue 27, 29 might take years...since only one issue is released every fortnight.
I also have a target list but some of them are so far down the list.

Yup sure, cuz is only RM 39.90, can't afford too much in that price.
It sure better than other toy shop selling Bburago or Maisto in same scale or same price even more expensive than this collectibles.
Think it back, this collectibles got detail magazine information, die-cast model with acrylic case and base stand that Bburago or Maisto can't give.
And yes can't compare with other branded die-cast model up to RM100+ sure detail than this collectibles, but again yes this collectibles got a lot F1 cars can choose from. thumbsup.gif

Comparing the silver arrows. Minichamps MP4-23 is a bit shinier than the Merc. The hybrid era cars is way longer\bigger than F1 cars in the 2000's.

Attached Image

My little 1/43 F1 collection.

i agree with strikermac, the car that comes with the magazine (for its price) cant be compared to better model car made by Minichamps or Spark. Brand new Minichamps 1/43 F1 car is around RM200.

For me, this is a perfect collefor me since its cheap and i don't much care about decals, i loved the shape more. (furthermore, can get tax exemption because buying magazine)

Cant wait for issue #3-#6 to be delivered to me. Btw, is there anyone who also collecting Pansing Rally Car? The cars looked detail and beautiful especially in the 80 's era. Just saw Sunbeam Talbot Lotus(1981) unfortunately cant afford it.

I've only managed to see editions #1, #2 and #3 so far, and to be frank (and as mentioned previously), the cars aren't perfect. Everyone is unique with slightly misaligned decals, panels like wings, diffuser, front nose, words printed on the wheels etc.

But heck at this price, its considered very decent. So before bringing it over to the cashier just look thru every option there is and get the best.

Yup, I look through almost every copy at the bookstore to get the one in "best" condition.
As a figurine collector I am rather particular about perfection.
But if you happen to get one that has imperfections, then consider it as racing scars/damage biggrin.gif

Just FYI to those that also collected Rally Car Collection #5, Toyota Celica GT-Four (1990), a similar screw driver for this is given in this set, placed below the display case in the blister box.

Hello all,
Greetings to all the collectors.I just started my F1CC justlast month and i got my issues 1,2 and 3 from.Harris Aeon Tebrau.I must say,I like the issue #2 Ferrari 312T2 especially its colour and fine pin stripes.
I have called Allscripts Subang to place my subscription so I dont muss any cars!
Guys,i need your kind advice
1)where can I get good 1:43 F1 cars out of the F1 Car Collection, cars like
-Mercedes w196 monoposto
-Ferrari 312T4
-Minardi Alex Yoong
Etc..
Don't say ebay cos its very2 expensive like Spark,Minichamps,Brumm etc..i have also checked on Aliexpress
2)Any cheaper contacts to get 1:43 F1 tobacco liveries decals..so can make the F1 Car Collection a little more authentic.
Hopefully can point me on the right direction
Thanks all

One little heads up about one of the models.

If we really get the SF70H it will be a Bburago model.

I was fortunate enough to check an eBay listing for the said models and I spotted the SF70H right away thanks to a few identifiable features.

But still, at least they were mind enough to finally give it the properly wide tires.

It took Bburago until the SF71H before they could finally do those tires in their proper width...

But out of this entire collection, I would get: Kimi’s F2007, Hunt’s M23, Hakkinen’s Mclaren, Salo’s F399, Seb’s SF15T and SF70H (2 of this because it’s Bburago, so that I can transfer the tires to another car that I have...) ; just to name a few.

Bburago’s first F1 models were Red Bull’s cars (including the 2013 car) and later the 2014 Mercedes F1 cars. The others include the 2016 Mercedes plus the 2015, 2016 and 2017 Red Bull cars.

But before that they did Ferrari’s F10 and F2012 for their new Ferrari lineup. Other Ferrari F1 cars Bburago have done would be the F14T, SF15T, SF16H, SF70H and the 71H...

1. Try ck-modelcars.de . Quite reasonable price. Minichamps and Spark model cars are very detailed, hence they command premium price. For example, my Alex Yoong minardi i bought it for RM160.

2. Check out this page on FB - Grand Prix Decals 1:43. They do decals specifically for this magazine collection. Gonna order from them soon

I got this 1/43 Maserati 250F ,arrived 2 days ago from Aliexpress for less than RM60 incld shipping. Most of the 1:43 scale model cars are manufactured in China,so I belueve we can get good quality cars for "Malaysia friendly" prices..hehe.Its a huge challenge I guess, and a disadvantage for Malaysian due to weak Ringgit.Attached Image Attached Image Attached Image

At bookstores it is only the third issue.
I thought a new issue will be out fortnightly but it is taking 3-4 weeks for a new issue to be released.

Pansing’s website say Issue 9 may be the 2015 Ferrari, as driven by Vettel.

Some countries got Kimi’s version, but with the significance of our market we will more than likely get Vettel’s 2015 Malaysian GP car. (with Pirelli’s orange marked 'Hard' tires.)

MPH Melawati Mall.
I think most of the MPH in KL should have it already.
Popular seems to be ditching the series. They only have until issue 2 and they are all chucked away in a mess at a corner.
Allscript doesn't seem to be adhering to the fortnightly release, making it seem like the interest in this collection is faltering already...at only issue 4.

I think klcc a bit faster compare to others maybe can find issue 4&5 there. Last time i got issue 2&3 there. They sold altogether. Then later i found it weird why other stores very lembab to release issue 2&3.

That so so weird, everyone said they get from AllScript, and AllScript official site did show F1CC.
But Pansing didn't show any info then why price tag is Pansing? confused.gif confused.gif
So confused... rclxub.gif
Anyone have any idea? Or Pansing united with AllScript?
Or juz the bookstore using wrong price tag to stick on?

Ok guys, Attention here~
I juz call Pansing to make sure, so they answer is NO,
F1CC not from them, they juz have RCC.
So confirm that some bookstore use their price tag was so wrong.
This series only from AllScript.
Don't get any confuse ya. Good Luck. thumbsup.gif

One question, who made this formula 1 diecast? Is it panini or deagostini? (I love to post random question for the sake of this thread to keep on rolling.)

hmm.gif
Very good question.
For what I know so far, this series diecast model origin from Centauriauser posted image.
This company is from Italy, so our magazine translate is Panini UK that why we have English version to read.
And DeAgostini is taking over for Japan version, but ya the model actually same.
What I guess the model manufacturer should be Altaya that also from Europe.

*Edit:
BTW, u can also search at google, type "Altaya F1 diecast" will see this series models appear at images. thumbsup.gif

I always see any cars with Martini decals are very beautiful and pleasing to my eyes. Hopefully Williams Martini Racing will be on the list of this series. Btw i really hate the f1 design nowadays especially with the bar over the driver pit. It kills the beauty of the car. Why dont they put the windshield just like Lemans car? I know its for safety purpose.

It’s called Halo. Already did a good job of protecting Alonso in this year Spa race. Why no windshield- i guess it is because it is easier for the first responder to extract the driver or the driver can quickly exit the car. The F1 concept car in 2021 - beautifully incorporates the halo design.

Yes indeed, the 2021 concept halo looks well blend in with car. I love it.

Bburago also did the HALO with the SF71-H, but not the Monaco GP model (that has the side mirrors on the device itself.)

Also, some of the 140 issues that are in the list for the Italian market version of this magazine will include the 2017 and 2018 Mercedes F1 cars, plus the 2017 and 2018 Ferrari and Red Bull cars. (It is of course, initial info that is completely unconfirmed, but the FB user who does the decals for this collection posted that list on his decals sales page...)

Will liquor company logos be removed from models?
This will make the models look quite plain unless they replace it with alternative decals like the Jordan's Benson & Hedges becoming Buzzin' Hornets.

I have decided to skip issue 4 and 5.
Going for issues 6,7,9 and 10.
At RM40.00 each, have to be selective otherwise will take a toll on the wallet.

Daiso has something similar. They have a few display boxes for sale. Price is standard Daisy price... RM6+ if not mistaken.

I guess what u mean is u want something like have race track at the display base rite? hmm.gif
Actually can't get it, even yes there is a same display base from other collectable call Ferrari Racing Collection,
also from Centauria that Allscript import years ago. That why the display case & base is same.

Anyway if u want something that won't cost too much, what I suggest and idea is DIY for it.
Example like u go buy a display case from Daiso, then print some nice track and background card to put in like below (click spoiler):
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

No bad huh. hmm.gif
But yes need to do some homework like measuring, printing, cutting for sure but after that the cost is low. thumbsup.gif

Juz found this 2 jpeg for base, but don't know is the resolution enough to print out or not.
Attached Image Attached Image

Or u can also try using black color base sand paper to do the track road effect.

But careful not to scratch your models when doing it. sweat.gif

Background card should be optional, depend what u want. Good Luck. thumbsup.gif

NOT RECOMMENDED.
I bought a few for my ferrari collection and it is super low quality.
transparent case is a bit bigger than the base, and they cannot stack so i have to put the original base under it to able to stably stack on top of each other.

here is the pic

I mean, the Martini logos are still on the Lancia rally cars from the Rally Car Collection.

Only markets that can’t have those logos are the Middle Eastern ones.

P.S: Since the company that makes the models is Italian, their market’s collection will have a total of 140 issues (including the 2017 and 2018 Mercedes and Red Bull cars. [wonder if Bburago will ever do those considering they already did the Ferrari 2017 and 2018 F1 cars...]

60 for Malaysia? Not bad (compared to the Italian release’s 140 issues...)

I just hope they include the 2004, 2007, 2015 and 2017 Ferrari cars... (If I get those there will be some work to be done.)

Just got issue 12 from Allscript. They currently have until issue 12. The model looks a bit “chunky” due to the sidepod wings and nose design. But overall still satisfied.

And those who are buying from bookstores are still waiting for issue #6.
It has been 3 weeks since the previous issue.
This is not helping to keep the interest alive.
If they are not able to release the issues in a timely manner, people will lose track and just forget about it.

Agree on this.

I'm only eyeing certain models so my only choice is just the bookstores. But when I follow this thread and see what Allscript already has in stock for subscribers vs whats on the shelf, I really ask myself how long will the interest and anticipation last before the wait erodes it. sad.gif

This is my view on this, because the last time i went to Allscript hq i saw MPH van.

I think the number or stock available at each store is based on each individual store. If the store\shop sale is slow, then they will order less for coming issue or none at all. Or they wait untill the current stock at their store is sold out, then baru they order new stock.

Thats my theory

Very upset this gift is not for malaysian subcribers. Can only expecting Twin Tower and Brabham BT46. I believe this is the most unique f1 model that had ever created.

but UK version need to pay extra per issue from day 1 to get the truck, so if they do come to msia I think we gonna need to buy the truck rather then free gift.

btw can I know how you get both gifts already? I thought they only ship out the next one at 6th shipment???

Yes, it will come with a price. But foe subcriber they told me might have discount.

Well, i get all my stock from alscript subang direct, the staff know me and i ask them to keep it for me to pickup directly. The Ferrari f2001 is unique!

Beside Tyrrell P34 Jody Scheckter 1976, these two transporter trucks would complete my f1 car collection.

Is it possible for allscript to bring tyrell p34 free gift for m'sia subcribers?

Seriously what is holding back issue 6 at the bookstores?
It has been delayed by a month.
I am about to give up on this collection if the issues are released so bloody inconsistently.

I know. There are forumers who have collected until issue 11 or so directly from their office.
But I live rather far from their office and I feel it is not worth the time, effort, and petrol to drive all the way there just to get these stuff. They are not necessities.
If there has been a delay in shipment, Allscript should have had the courtesy to at least make an announcement to inform collectors.

Problem with shipping is you do not get to choose.
We all know the QC of these models are not exactly top notch. Many have paint splotches, detached parts, and other inconsistencies in the workmanship.
Feels like s#!+ if you received a model with defects.

here's my short review on both cars. Sorry for the lousy pictures

Attached Image Attached Image Attached Image Attached Image

I now have 2 MP4-23; Hamilton (Panini) and Kovaleinen (Minichamps). Scale wise, both cars are similar. All the stickers is where it should be. The chrome body on Minichamps is a little bit shinier, not by much. The vodafone livery on Panini car is plain red, on Minichamps is blood red. The t-cam color also correct, as the first driver has red t-cam, and second driver has yellow t-cam.

Other difference that i found :

- the front wing on panini has a wider opening and higher than minichamps car. I think both car front wing is correct because over a course of a season teams usually change their aero package.

- the rear wing on Panini car sits a bit higher that minichamps car and the sponsor is smaller. Again panini car is not technically wrong because sometimes the size of vodafone wording change from circuit to circuit IINM.

- there's no front tires cover on Panini cars. I couldnt find MP4-23 in race trim without the tire cover. A bit odd because button car issue 7, has one.

I guessing that Panini car is based on MP4-23 launch configuration. Overall, a nice model by panini... not bad if your compare it with minichamps' MP4-23 which is 4 times its price.

I was hoping they did this MP4-23 actually tongue.gif

To those who are collecting Issue 6, Ferrari F2002. There are actually 2 variants.

One is the Normal/High downforce variant, it is exactly the same as the one on the magazine cover, this one has 3 antennas and jagged front wing ends.

user posted image

Second variant is what i think is a low downforce variant, similar to the one used at Monza. This one has a much shallow angle rear wing, 4 antennas and a smooth front wing ends.

user posted image

Me personally prefer the normal variant, but those who really wants to complete the collection, you might wanna collect them both.

I did some google digging and here is what I think of the two variants. The normal variant is the one debuted at Sao Paulo, Brazil and used early season. The second variant looks like the one used at Magny Cours, France where Michael won and secured his 5th drivers title, matching then record holder Fangio. It has the same double layer rear wing and 4 antennas, But the front wing here is wrong as the one used in France is not entirely flat. Still it has some historic value over the normal variant.

Yes I can confirm it myself personally. Im collecting it over here at Ipoh and both MPH Kinta City (where I bought mine) and Popular Aeon Station 18 had both variants. I was picking my F2002, checking and comparing for defects like broke/bent antenna. It was then I noticed there are 3 antenna and 4 antenna variants. Closer inspection I noticed the front and rear wing differences.

It will definitely sell better than others since its Schumi's car and many of the possible collectors here grew up in the 2000s watching Schumi racing with his red Ferrari on the TV. Coincidentally it appears on stores around his 50th birthday.

hey all just went by kinokuniya KLCC, they still have first 7 models available biggrin.gif

like what the sifus above said, each one will have small imperfections, just have to look through all of them and find the best available doh.gif

so what's the TLDR version for this, seems like some of you already have up to issue 11?

Hi, I would like to ask your opinion... due to lack of space, I just want to choose 1 between issue 9 (Renault R25) or issue 10 (Redbull RB9). Which one do you think has more relevance in the history of F1? Thanks for your thoughts.

R25 is nando first championship winning car, while RB9 vettel drove to his second championship. In 2013 (RB9) is the last era of v8 engine.

Aesthetics wise, i prefer r25. My two cents

Size wise, is R25 smaller than R9? Both are blue, it’s so hard to make a choice.

Just got my issue 7, BGP 001 from Kinokuniya KLCC. Interesting facts about this model, this is the very car Jenson Button drove to his driver's title and Brawn GP's constructor title at Brazil 2009. The giveaway was the ""Itaipava" sponsors, which is a Brazilian beer brand which sponsored them for only that Sao Paulo race.

It is significant if you're a die hard fan of Senna.

1. It is the car where he made his F1 debut season 1984.

2. At the 1984 Monaco GP, with wet weather conditions, Senna displayed his wet driving talents. Starting from 13th he overtake the field in the difficult conditions. He even came close to wining the race as he was fast catching up to then race leader Alain Prost and even passed him. But then the race was stopped prematurely with red flag as the conditions was deemed too dangerous to continue. According to the rules, when the race was stopped, the results was based on the positions from the previous lap. Senna overtook Prost at the lap (just infront of the Start/Finish line) where the race was red flagged, so his overtake does not count. Conspiracy theories by Senna fans claims the FIA (whos then president was a French) was in cahoots with Prost (French) and robbed Senna his first win. Still it was a great acheivement, 2nd place at his first season, in the rain, at Monaco. It would be a foreshadow of Senna's acheivements at later seasons.

user posted image

3. It was jointly designed by Rory Byrne and Pat Symonds. Both would went on to design championship winning cars, Byrne designed the Schumacher era Ferrari cars while Symonds would be responsible for Alonso's championship winning Renaults.

Yeah perhaps, Im from Ipoh and both Popular Station 18 and MPH Kinta City had both variants. Yet when i visited Kinokuniya KLCC there is only the standard variant. I guess we are lucky here to get both variants? Anyway they are all sold out now, only Issue 7 BGP 001 on the shelves here.

To those who are still unconvinced there are 2 variants of issue 6 Ferrari F2002. Here is more proof. Today I visited Popular Aeon Station 18 and there are 3 issue 6 left. 1 standard and 2 "double stacked" rear wing variant.

user posted image
user posted image

The standard variant was used early 2002 season, from Brazilian GP. The "double stacked" rear wing is most similar to the one used at French GP, where Michael Schumacher drove to his 5th world title.

The standard variant was used early 2002 season, from Brazilian GP. The "double stacked" rear wing is most similar to the one used at French GP, where Michael Schumacher drove to his 5th world title.

I think i would like to stop my subscription and only collecting certain cars as i cant afford on monthly fee. I will rely on this thread to notify me on selected issues.

Only Brabhams catch my attention so that model i will put my focus on.

Oh, nice to know got thread dedicated to this magazine.

Based on the list of local releases that I have seen before, I only have 2 cars at the moment: the McLaren MP4/4 and Brawn BGP 001. Both cars have significance to me, and are also related to Honda, my favourite manufacturer.

Correct, but the chassis was done by Honda before they pulled out from the sport, so the relation is still there. laugh.gif

Not really feeling the Williams, since not much significance to me. Got the MP4/4 because it is the most successful F1 car in history and also driven by the great Ayrton Senna. Brawn was because I had been a fan of Button, and the car looks absolutely beautiful with minimal livery design.

Spotted issue 9, Fernando Alonso's 2005 Renault R25 in shelf (in my case Popular Ipoh Parade). There is only one on shelf along with 3-4 Issue 7, Jenson Button's 2009 Brawn BGP 001. Strangely Issue 8 Toleman is all but gone. Upon closer inspection of the R25 it is mostly resemble early season car, as the winglets on the front wing is not yet there at early 2005 season. As the for model itself i noticed the front wing is abit bent, and since there is just one, i cannot compare with other models. In the end did not getting it. Hopefully other places will stock it soon.

I was in Shah Alam today and decided to drop by Allscript to collect issues 53 to 58 of the De Lorean model.

Whilst there, I had a look at the F1 cars, especially issue 6. I found what seemed to be 3 variants of that particular car. Differences were at the front and rear wings and end plates, barge boards and the number of antennas (or I assumed them to be antennas). Also differences to the engine cowling and colour scheme.

Sorry for the poor photos. The cars are still in their respective blister packs.

I don't think it is Allscript's fault. I believe the fault lies with the publisher's packaging section.

According to Allscript, latest shipment has been chaotic. Items in the boxes do not tally with the outside labels.

For instance, for the De Lorean, boxes labelled issues 40-ish are actually issues 50++. They should have gotten issue 56 as the latest. But snuggled between those issues were one copy each of issue 57 and 58!

i agree with strickermac, its F2004 because IINM F2004 is an evolution of F2002. so anyone who bought the F2004 is ahead of anyone else hahaha

The photo sample F2004 I uploaded number is No.2 at front of the car.

Think the distributor or somewhere in the supply chain, just source a model, (i.e. maybe due to supply shortage, etc) and inc them in the collection. Or the supplier (of the model) just ship the wrong model. Seems the alternative models appear inconsistently.

Take this as a "secret" or "bonus" collection. Unintended of course. thumbup.gif

if you looked at the pictures of F2002, F2003GA and F2004 IRL, they are very very similar and hard to tell them apart. i guess the regulation between 2002 and 2004 didn't change much.

so probably its an honest mistake during the manufacturing process.

Yup, if one single issue have 3 different types F1 cars should be nice.
But the magazine is focus on F2002 only. sweat.gif
And if the stand plate is correct print it as F2004, then this F1 car is worth it.
Or juz buy it then unscrew it and put it on other stand plate will done. brows.gif

Finished reading issue #13. I quite like the green color livery on Jordan 191. The shape of the car also unique with its big diffuser at the rear.

Wait, but those are in the same display case as the magazine cars. So did you put them Minichamps models into them?

Up until 2008, the tobacco sponsors ban was in effect in both France and the UK for F1 races, which is why for those 2 races you’d see the teams’ liveries being different. (I watched F1 from 2001 till today to know that. And why I don’t mention 2007 here is that despite the forbidding of tobacco sponsorship after 2006, Ferrari displayed Marlboro logos on their cars for the Bahrain and Shanghai GPs...)

The model in that IG photo however, has the properly wide tyres per the 2017 rule changes (something Bburago themselves didn’t do until they did the Ferrari SF71-H.)

Unintended of course.  thumbup.gif

After all, if they do bring in the F2004 in the detail photo, it's Rubens' car.

That 'unntentional error' will help solve the problem of having to get a pair of no. 2 F2004s just to do a lot of DIY work to renumber the other car.

Both the F2002 and F2003-GA do not have the mid-wing that is seen on the F2004 up until the F2008...

the video review of bbrago f1 cars that i saw on youtube also mentioned their scale its a bit off if compared to minichamps and spark cars.

Now latest only 4th delivery (16 issues) so we could get it by end of April, but lately their shipment are a bit inconsistent (they skip feb and dec) so is hard to tell.

Or, if you live in KL, you can try to be friend with allscript's staff and you can pick one up now, just like a guy from this forum who pick up both free gifts last year because the staff know him and reserve it for him wink.gif wink.gif .

I dont mind to wait, I dont mind they give me Niki's first. To me, they can just giveaway like that is just unfair. Whether he bought the free gift or he subscribe. smile.gif

And its reliability is terrible too biggrin.gif biggrin.gif . That aside, this is one of the most unique formula 1 livery ever, and will be a one time only thing. Its impossible to have such livery since the regulation changes way back at 2000.

So F1 season is back this weekend. Predictions of how the new season would progress? I'm interested to see how Charles Leclerc would fare in a Ferrari, just in his second season in the sport.

Just gotten my Issue 12 2008 Mclaren MP4-23 at MPH Kinta City. Must be a hot seller as there were only 2 left, one with a cracked case. Me personally altho not a Mclaren fan, but in terms of car chassis MP4-21 to 23 were some of my favorite F1 cars ever. Growing up during the 2000s F1 era of "aero" cars, the MP4-21 to 23 were the peak of the Mclaren aero evolution started with the MP4-19. Together with the Ferrari F2008 they are the last of their kind before 2009's major aero revolution that mandated a much simpler body and flat wings.

Hey guys, i'm a collector from Penang, new to this thread but have been following the series since January.

Back story of how i got my issues:

Brawn GP: got it at Borders Queensbay, only one left. Mid-January

Schumi Ferrari and Alonso's Renault: Times Pavilion KL (CNY time so i was in KL)

Red Bull and 2008 McLaren: Times Gurney Penang, fairly recently

Got issues 1, 3 and 4 from Allscript webshop, since i missed it in stores.

Only interested in models after 1990. Amazing thread, plenty of info. Hoping to be more active here. (Might update on bookstores in Penang in the future) Nice to join other collectors! biggrin.gif

To those who wanna know about this collection details.
The best answer always refer back to this thread 1st post in page 1. All the info already there, click on the spoiler inside will find out.
And yes, local issues will be very slow release especially for non subscriber that buy at the book store.
Thank you for understanding, and keep in touch with all the collectors replies here and stick with the info at 1st post in page 1. thumbsup.gif

Nice pics.
I saw this in the bookstores and it looks like a kid's toy in my opinion.
Due to the simplicity of the design of the cars those days, they look like kids toys when made into display models.

Just collect issue 19 & 20 from Allscipt office.

# BAD NEWS ! The staff say issue 20 maybe will be the last due to low demand and short of stock from supplier and high shipping cost.

AllScript always do something like this, not surprise, cuz they juz follow market heat only.
Unlike PanSing's RCC still on go follow with oversea (TW) issues.
AllScript should learn import some really good quality and hot collection that could hit market sell.
Still never learn... dry.gif

Your best bet is Allscript's office.

Almost all the bookstores that I used to buy from either do not put older editions on display, store them somewhere or returned them to Allscript.
