that building ground floor used to be Bank BumiPutera and opposite is Berkat Supermarket/Panorama Hotel.

lol it was a cold joke. some forumer asking for university in taiping, so i replied taiping already have (penjara) kamunting.

That legendary tuition teacher. 2 hours class. 1 hour 45 minutes tokok singsong bashing. 15 mins teach. Thats what i like about the classes.

U left out Toyo tyres. Biggest sardine factory. Taiping mostly retired ppl and old ppl. Haha. Which school are your from? St george?

This..i remember back then my late father who worked at tm taiping were asked to relocate to so that they can use his office bldg as a university bldg..that was suppose to be mmu.. So in 95 we moved out of taiping.. Such a long memory i had there..i was born there.. And even sad to hear that the planned has been cancelled and the buildg became kolej latihan telekom instead of mmu.. If it werent for that false hope, i might stil be living in taiping now..

I heard the building behind the clock tower is being renovated to become a boutique hotel. Now with the bell ringing from time to time, who would still want to stay there? Haven't they thought about that?

The college already closed. My late mom was a telephonist from Telekom Burmah Road Penang. Relocated to Taiping as telebmarketing staff because telephonist no longer needed in late 90s because of direct call. We stay at taman suria but only spent time in taiping during school holidays, University break and work break. the best about taiping is the abundance of clean river and waterfall.

with close to zero knowledge and information, my advice is to keep ur mouth shut to prevent u put urself in shame .....
