You can definitely afford it. It's just a matter of prioritizing your money - instant gratification or delayed gratification (savings for old age).
Only you will know, when you are 60 years old, whether you will regret spending a chunk of money on the BMW, or regret not buying the BMW because "we only live once".

QUOTE(StanleySAPBasis @ Aug 23 2018, 04:34 PM) I believe nowadays everyone is having more than 1 income source. So by the day when I'm 60, I believe I won't be only relying on my own saving. I'm not a lazy guy. =) Thanks for the concern anyway. =) Nah, I have no concern for you as it's your life. Actually I don't know why you opened this thread if you only want to hear supporting opinion.

QUOTE(corad @ Aug 23 2018, 11:29 PM) just sharing, when I was a freshie, those premium brands were super tempting when you have nothing else to spend on (family etc). Also with 9 year loan, anything below RM500k would be in reach Still remember A6 Hybird was ~RM300k which seemed like a super good deal at the time Eventually I settled for a used murano @ RM40k (mainly for the keyless entry, at that price no other car had it back then). Was just a car to get me from A to B. Colleagues were getting new VW's , Civic's etc ... didn't make me exactly envious, but they looked like they had more $$ to spend Darn. I only had a Suzuki RC kapcai when I first started out.
