Looks like near my place. No idea about why it's abandoned, though.
My guess is after the landslides, those rich enough just packed and left. These houses wouldn't have been too expensive when they bought it. |

There's 4 snapshot of the place in Google maps. 2013, 2014, 2015, 2017. Can see the windows open and close at position over time. The flag is there at 2013 but removed at 2015. 2017 suddenly appear cloth/blanket hanging on the staircase |

I know many rich people who have so many houses yet they have no problem paying all the bills even if the houses are left to rot, in most cases, some of their PA will visit the house to inspect and get cleaners to maintain the houses.

I know that TNB and many government department inherited a lot of houses from the colonial era that they didn't care to maintain so they became rumoured haunted house when it isn't. One of my relatives is a wife of Ngan Yin peanuts, she used to live in a bungalow owned under company name also until she didn't bothered with the old house so it became abandoned, and people rumoured it to be haunted, even when there is no murder or anything that take place. |
