They say F1 updates will start getting lesser because the device is 2 years old. My next device I'm maybe ditching xiaomi if they are going down this route. Maybe jump ship to OnePlus or older iPhone models.

So far good. Haven't encountered any issues. Feel much smoother compared to Miui 11. Haven't have time to try other features like camera & video but so far no problems.

I got my update by download link. So didn't encounter the issues. Maybe server lag because many update?

My after update having some minor bugs.
1. Pie control very slow
2. Ghost touch everywhere, when play game or open apps, it will close or jump out.
3. Dark mode kill some of my games (white background become black) n calculator one button become back.
4. Battery drain during sleep, drain 20-25% overnight.

Sad.

2. Maybe because I change new screen before. Since then I didn't encounter any ghost touch issues.
3. Didn't try dark mode since LCD screen.
4. Mine so far good average SOT 5-6 hour's.

Miui 12 feels much smoother & snappier compared to Miui 11. Was about to flash custom rom but now no need. Only wish it use android gesture for full screen.
