Hello, do anyone knows if babies equipments like stroller and car seat is taxable or exempted? My baby is due early February 2019 and i am unsure should i buy everything now before SST kick-in or should wait till next year. After all car seat and stroller aren't required till baby about 1 year old

Getting Started

Don't buy early, things like car seat got expiry date. Better buy as late as possible so you can utilize it more before expiry.

I'm basing my reply of this list I found on the Jabatan Kastam website. https://mysst.customs.gov.my/GeneralGuideExempted products (No SST) - Baby milk power - Baby diaper rash cream - Infant food based on cereal, milk and soy Reduced rate (5% SST) - Most infant foods Full rate (10% SST) - Baby Powder, Oil, Soap and Shampoo - Baby feeding bottle - All baby clothes, mittens and bootees - Baby scale - Baby stroller - Baby carseat - Baby toys Hope this helps

I regret buy things before baby coming coz I a lot things I didn’t use such as crib, cloth diapers, baby bolster and others.
